Jabba´s garage...

^^Phew...you had me scared for a second. I was like...wt-f happened to the car? Glad it wasn't the car man.

:D
Imagine how scared i was! The picture doesn´t show exactly how "wet" the oil was. I want to drive to a friend (watch the F1 Final), so i just opened the garage, saw the mess, and left. I really thought the oil drops out of the engine. Back home in the evening i remembered the oil can and checked it.

But, in Germany we say, that´s all "snow from yesterday", the car is running fine.
Running and roaring.
I recommend everybody to just hear the start sound of the SLS. You won´t believe it´s a merc. Not only the sound itself, it is loud! When people have a closer look at the car and i have the engine running, i step on the gas, *eeek* the are always a little scared. :D

Snow will come next week... but the winter tires are not available yet :( The car builds up an tremendous grip, i can´t wait to drive it in snow!

Many congrats Jabba for your awesome new car :eusa_clap and thanks for sharing the happy snaps with us.

Is the SLS your daily drive? How is the ownership experience so far and do people react positively when they see you driving around?

The SLS is not my daily drive.
In fact, the car ist not practical for daily use. There´s only one small box in the center console. There might fit sunglases in, but that´s it. There is also a cup holder under the arm rest, there you can put your key case and wallet in (there is also the phone placed, not every phone fits!)
That´s all, ok, the glovebox.
But (obviously) you can place nothing in the doors :D

The trunk is big enough to tow some purchases, but somehow i would not feel good with it. You have to drive more than just 5 kilometers, otherwise the engine isn´t running fine, even the oil temperature rises very slow. No, this car is definitely made for driving, not shopping.
Also you have to get used to the long front while driving slow.
And backwards is very special: The camera is placed very low, it looks like the F1 front wing view. It has extreme wide angle, there are no guiding lines on the command. The camera just helps you not overrun something in the back, nothing more. You have to use classic the rear view mirrors.

@yaz:
There´s is no boot handle. There´s a button inside and also on the key. The trunk will just open a bit like the hood, you have to put your fingers in between and then open it.
I case the start button fails, you can put the key mechanical in a "secret" ignition lock that´s placed behind the arm rest. BTW there is also the emergency release placed for the trunk.

Next time i will take a picture of the rear view can, that view is really funny!
:)

Sooooo folks, finally today:
New rims + winter tires!
I choosed the standard rims and of course the Pirelli SottoZeros.

Why not earlier? We had tons of snow in germany since end of November and i had no chance to reach my local dealer :D

Tomorrow evening i will pick my bad boy, pictures with the new set of rubber will follow...

So, driving this beauty in the snow on high performance summer rubber works well?

Congrats Jabba!:t-cheers:

You're the envy of EVERY man/child on the planet, SLS is THE most beuatiful car on the road today.:bowdown::icondrool:bowdown::icondrool

I haven´t tested yet... The car was trapped in his garage for nearly 3 months, but now we have zero snow and +10 so i take the chance to change tires. In fact i will pic it up in something about 30 minutes and have a little ride

@human:
thx for beeing jealous in a nice way :)

@BMW Power:
Anybody interested about a Weidemann T4512cc35 ? That´s my latest toy to scare the horses ;) In fact i spend more hours in the 4512 than in the SLS
:D

:icondrool Forget the SLS, we want more pictures of that thing. Does this outrun the SLS?

Beautiful Car.

Question: Are you experiencing issues with delayed throttle responses? At least in the U.S SLSs this seems to be a reoccurring issue.

OK!
Here we are, the toy for the boy: T4512, a real dream machine!
Up til today: 103,5 hours, enjoying every minute of it.
Helped during the winter and is a real swiss tool for everyday use.

Its not overdone to say, the T4512 and my RRS Supercharged saved my ass this winter a lot of times! :D
BTW I managed it, to get the SLS out of the garage, after the snow has gone.. still running like a kitten.
Hope you enjoy the pics!

What exactly is its use for you, Jabba?

Seems fun, though :D

Use?
For me mainly carrying hey rolls, even the riding area and pulling trailers, in Winter also clearing the snow.
Of course there are lots of things you can do: Moving every kind of debris, big stones, sand, wood andso on.

You see: i have 1000 reasons to drive that thing :D
