3 Series (E90) Is it just me or the 3-Series E90 is already looking dull and tired?

The BMW E90 is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range. Body styles: E90 (saloon), E91 (estate/touring), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). Predecessor: BMW E46. Successors: F30/F31 3 Series, and F32/F33 4 Series. Production: 2004-2013.
The E90 is with no doubt an attractive car and age is an issue with these mid luxury cars. This car will at the end of its life circle look as aged as the C-class does today.

Same goes with most cars but not many age already after a year and E90 sure still is an attractive car.

Yeah the new 3-Series E90 is growing on me...

...just like a depression accompanied by nauseas.

Thanks for trying just_me.:usa7uh:

But I'm terribly sorry to disappoint you...The E90 looked boring then and still look boring IMO.

It looks unattractive by any angle and in any colour. Even in black, still no beauty.

The 3-Series E90 will age even worse than the Mercedes C-Class W203. Mind you, I never liked the slabby looks of the C-Class W202.

But then I was never a huge fan of the all C-Class styling anyway. The first one looked like a Lancia Dedra and the second looks like an Euro Honda Accord.

As far the interior is concern...

I don't like the E90 interior either. It looks way too plain and cheap for a BMW.

Sure, it's nicely crafted with good material...but it doesn't look stylish or it makes you feel like if you were driving a car that worth 30K.

Even my humble 18K Vectra has a better looking interior than a 30K BMW.

Im not trying to convience you Im just saying my opinion. E90 is the best seelling car in its segment so I know there are people that think like me :usa7uh:

And again , let me remind you, design is about personal preferences, with no rights or wrong so of course you are entitled to believe what you want but I hope you know everyone don't agree with you and I hope you arent trying to force us to change our mind. ;)

*WARNING*

THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION.

So what exactly is it then you want us to do? Change your mind about the looks of the car?
Somehow I have a feeling that is not going to happen.......

Some like it, some don't. Saying it looks dated however is not possible. That has nothing to do with opinion.

Wow, the new 3 looks as big as a 5 in this pic compared to the E46 !

I haven't see the E90 in white before, it looks very good in that colour though!

How you can sau it looks dated I don't know, we all have different opinions though!

I don't understand this thread.

This guy comes here to state some sort of opinoin. He goes back and forth stating that the BMW 3er is boring, yet he says he likes it, he would buy it.

I have nothing against the E90. In fact, I even like the car, despite of its hateful looks.

I would even buy the new 3-Series...I'm not a guy to only judge the book by its cover. Have driven a 2005 320d I can tell ypu, the new 3-ser is a very good car indeed.

Is just...doesn't look right IMO.

What is the problem then?

I see the logic behind Andaluz's statements. He "would even buy the new 3-series" yet there is something that "doesn't look right." Right....Good job buddy.

I don't see what this thread : 1. was intented for, 2. what anyone from this forum can take from it, and 3. can do for any fellow member that likes it or hates it.

Please state coherently what you think and what us to know. If you want to start a debate, then this is not the place because of the sheer fact that this debate will be completely subjective, and with the subject at hand someone is going to get insulted, offended, or repulsed.

Remember stating ones opinoin is perfectly fine, but you are making definitive statements as if they were fact! Some people here might think that the "aged" C class is not that ugly and they may love it!

Example:

What proof do you have to show that it will age worse? How do you know this? That is a definitive statement my friend not an opinion.

So any of you who come here and state what you think it will be considered and opinion. These opinions should not be stated as facts

I really growing sick and tired of threads, and posts dedicated to putting down a specific brand! This is getting really old!

The E90 is a vast improvement over the E46 design wise, it's more characterful and far more interesting. More interesting than anything that the E46 design could have ever hoped for, even after a facelift. While the E46 is a classic, the E90 takes things to a whole nother level, which largely seems to be BMW desigers way of doing things w/ one gen. after the other.

Here's all I'm going to "say":

I never liked the E46 after the facelift. The coupe looked quite nice, but the sedan looked like a semi-effeminate "evolutionary link," rather than an end in itself.

For being BMW's "all 'rounder," the E90 sports a rather distinct and agressive front, end. So much so, you'd almost expect the front-ends of the coupe and sedan to be swapped.

I think this car will stand the test of time.

I really like the 3er and it says alot about the person who buys it. The design doesnt shout "look at me" or "look how successful I am" like many other new cars try to do but instead shows the buyer to be someone who cares about the product and bought it, not for the image, but the product itself. It isnt flashy and never attempted be, but it does have a simple elegance that I think 90% of us can appreciate. It is simply a great automobile and, like it or not, is selling extremely well because so many other people also love the product and appreciate the image, or lack of. The design is a reflection of the buyer and suits this market perfectly making it BMW's bread and butter.
