Poll Is Hyundai and Kia copying the interior designs of Audi and BMW?

Kia has just launched the Telluride SUV at the Detroit Motor Show and also Hyundai showed its sister model the Palisade.

When I saw the interiors of both models on videos on the net I couldn't help thinking they have too much resemblance to the interiors of the latest BMW 7 and 5 series and a little of old Audi A8 in the center console switches.

Do you think that Kia and Hyundai are copying the interior designs of BMW and Audi?

Of course they are. At least Kia put some effort into it, Hyundai one looks like a cheap Chinese knock-off.

They blatantly are, but then again, why wouldn't they? Audi and BMW spend a lot of money to design their interiors. Why would they spend similar cost knowing that they could just copy the best, hahaha. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery etc haha. It's like the original iPhone and all the phones we have today.

That Hyundai above too features elements from all 3 of the Germans.

Especially when they have design studio in Europe, and hired European designers to be in charge of their design department.

When I first saw the Kia steering wheel I thought it was a 2 spoke design rip off of the one that was in the pre FL Mercedes S-class, but it is actually a 4spoke if you look closely with the 2 bottom spokes are black and almost not noticed.

The Hyundai steering wheel is very similar looking to the older 3 spoke Mercedes steering wheel.

They are copying each other confining in herd mentality. Look at the interiors of recent Ford, Kia and Hyundai hatchbacks. They are nearly indistinguishable.

Peter Schreyer was head designer in Kia and Hyu, now Luc Donckerwolke is.

I'm sorry what? Pick a fight? I don't think so. La Artist is a serial negative commentator on all BMW threads.

I remember a certain someone with special priveledges mentioning something about contributing relevant and meaningful commentary in these threads. Explain to how continuously trash talking in BMW threads is meaningful and relevant.
