Lexus provides IS-F prize for Wii tennis tournament

To tie into its sponsorship of the U.S. Open, Lexus is going to host a "Virtual Tennis Open" using the Nintendo Wii. The tourney will be for charity, but the top prize of a one-year lease on a Lexus IS-F is for the winner to keep and use as he or she pleases. Hosted by tennis champ Andy Roddick, the tourney will take place at New York's Rockefeller Center next month, while money gathered from entrant fees in the three-day tournament will benefit the Andy Roddick Foundation for neglected, abused and sick children. The IS-F, which we just saw in action up in Monterey, will also be one of the prizes awarded to the men's champion in the real U.S. Open next month.

And the publicity starts... Interesting approach as well.

That Andy Roddick - he's a top lad. Big ups to him and the work he does for charity, his attitude and level of play that he brings to the game. If only he'd be just a tad more consistent, a smidge less rushed - he'd win a few more Grand Slams for sure.

Federer, Roddick, Rafa, Djokovic, Blake, Gasquet and so many more... has the Men's circuit ever seen a better line up? Not for a long time now.

Yep, kudos! Very nice of him...:usa7uh:

Martin, there's one guy missing and it's our legendary, Goran Ivanisevic...:D

:t-cheers:

I can see already, you guys are more interested in talking about tennis than the Lexus, and I understand. Ever since the Wii was released, I knew there will be a "Virtual Tennis Open" at some point in the future, should be fun because Wii tennis is so much easier than real tennis.

Oh yeah and about the car, I don't mind if i have it for a year.

Wait...do they have market research which indicated that the public is disgusted with the way this thing looks and refuses to place orders for it?

Sounds to me like they're desperate to get rid of them and this is just an excuse to "sell" a single IS-F! :D

Just kidding! :t-cheers:
