Interview: Stefan Sielaff, Head of Design, Audi AG

Didn't that guy also design the interior of the MB CLS?

Maybe he's just promoted?

But that would be hard, since knowing Yannis who posts the Audi news even when Audi's CEO farts, we'd know this already...:D

:t-cheers:

Stefan Sielaff was head of interior design for Audi some years ago. Then he left for Mercedes for two years and last year he came back.

Stefan Sielaff is head of Audi design and Wolfgang Egger is head of Audi group (meaning Audi and Lamborghini).

Wolfgang Egger will be Audi Group Head of Design

Aha ....so this is the guy who designed the A8's interior and put the finishing touches on the S class' interior -- it's a pity he didn't have more say in the S class interior. He is a very good designer ...Mercedes should have held on to him while they had him.

I remember that when he went to Mercedes the interior of the S class was already designed so he just made a few inmprovements and the finishing touches.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
