First I want to apologies for the crappy pictures. I took those with my phone while I was reading the latest Car Magazine at the local bookseller. I think the article is interesting and worth posting here.

I guess his "flame surfacing" design was ahead of his time. When i 1st saw the X coupe i thought the car looked like it had been in a crash, and then the body was poorly repaired. Now the X coupe makes more sense. A lof of the new cars have at least some hints of Bangle's "flame surfacing" element in it.
