This article states that the first BMW model to get Dynamic Performance Control will be the X6 (unveiled at October 20. 2007 at opening of BMW Welt in Munich?), but even more interesting is the statement that all BMW models will get DPC “during 2008”. The system weights approximately 10 - 12kg and costs 1 000 – 1 200 Euro.

Yes, X6 will be the first xDrive equipped model with DPC (aka Dynamic xDrive), while according to my info the first introduced RWD model with DPC will be F01 7er - expect PR sometimes in Summer 2008.

I'm sure other models (RWD & AWD ones) will get this system as well - standard or optional.

DPC will take driving dynamics a step further ... The next step is double wishbone front suspension, Ver 2.0 Adaptive Drive, Ver 2.0 Active Steering, and according to my info ... BMW are designing a super-compact multi-link rear suspension which will be premiered in "new Z8", and then tweaked & put in some other models as well. Not to mention all the electronics will operate on FlaxRay.

But the best parts are coming from drivetrain department ... Yet my sources can't currently talk about it. Something with very significant tiltle: "Projekt H.Y.P.E.". :t-hands:
