Just look at this guy. He's a complete idiot for doing all these stunt in the traffic, but he's got skills!

BTW, Please don't do this at home :D

1:35 ; Get the f**k out of my way you dull old Merc! :D

Don't wanna sound like a hater...but a lot of his stuff isn't "drifting"...it's just a powerslide. A drift is a maintained powerslide over a difference, plus it's how you enter a turn and not how you come out of one.

I am not a fan of the whole drifting scene and drifting for the sake of it. Yes, it looks dramatic but it is not the quickest way around the corner. I like drifting when it happens

a. cause a driver are pushing the car to it's limits and you loose the rear end but he collects it by judicious use of opposite lock and gas.

b. cause a driver deliberately induce it to help get the car to turn - as it is usually happens in rally.

ps. And by drifting scene, I mean the drifting competition that happens in closed circuit, not this douche endangering others lives on public road.

That's not the reason why drifting began.

Part of the reason drifting is used is because back when they used to race in the mountains of Japan, the roads were/are tight but still enough room for the car behind to get by. So the racer in front drifted and prevented the guy behind from passing. That is one of the reason it's used.

The whole "show" factor came WAY after that. Now it's all about show, but before it was actually functional. Drifting STILL requires tons of car control.

:t-cheers:

...but it is STILL an anti-thesis of racing and is more like synchronized swimming or ice dancing :D
