India luxury car potential is phenomenal.

You gave me the link to Nadir Shah so you think you've proved your point? Dude...go back and read what is written about Nadir shah...nowhere does it say he ruled india right before British Invasion...not to mention it states that he controlled a bit of north india which is Caucasus Mountains. That is not enough to be called the ruler of India. Here you want to post links...here is one for you and I suggest you read thoroughly before you talk smack. Here is the real ruler of the period right before the Full british Invasion of India and also modern day Pakistan, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maharaja_Ranjit_Singh

He my friend conqured, ruled and made what is knows as Punjab. If you think I'm BSing then Why the flip is there a Punjab in both India and Pakistan? Why do so many pakistani's speak Punjabi? Please reading some crap on the internet is not nearly enough for you to argue with me, I live that isht everyday. I'm a freakin' punjabi and know my history, you want more proof I can take you to all the sites and places of the my people.

Oh so you think that Manmohan Singh wasn't allowed to enter the G7/G8? Who the ufck are you kidding, I was there in India when all that crap was happening and I came back while everything was still going on. I can find you news clippings from India because It was a very big deal there. You know what IIT might not have a big budget but they are freakin' hardcore and put out great isht that even MIT gets awed over. The fact that you aren't impressed by my cousin's who don't use calculators don't mean crap. The fact is that my cousin was in 9th grade when he was doing that. Please tell me that 9th graders in Canada can do Calculus without using calculators...and I will tell my cousin to email you who lives in canada as well. I've been to schools in Canada, they aren't even hard compared to Indian schools.

The fact that YOU only saw 1 Eclass in India don't mean isht because you weren't paying attention. Like I said my family owns more german cars then you saw. And about my people being poor, yes they are poor but not all. Not nearly enough as you might think. You're standard of poor comes from the fact that you live in a very good country, my people live in a "poor" country. I don't care how poor they are, those people always have food. Do you know how much food there is in India. Do you know how much food all the temples, mosques, mandirs and churches give to people everyday? No you don't because you're a freakin' tourist and can never understand what it is like to live in that country.

I don't have any disillusionment towards India and it's people's. I don't care if you want me to put aside my pride of being and Indian and pro views towards it, because quite frankly I'm one of the toughest critics of that country but I will always protect my country and it's people against ignorant people like you who judge based on what you SAW. Seeing is an illusion, feeling is not. I lived there and believe me I know exactly what goes on in that country. There is nothing your independant sources can tell that I probably don't already know, but I have family living there and some of them in High places. I also know about the underground of India and how there are billions of dollars in bank accounts around the world. I know that countries' curruption to the max.

Oh yes, by the way since you like to correct people so much...It's called Aryans not Arians. That is the correct term. My friend we Indians are a mix of Indo-Aryans not persians or any such. The people you were reffering to are modern day Afgans.

Dude, all I will tell you is this...if you got more Bring it on. I absolutely hate people who judge based on their views and by what they saw.

That's just pathetic...your arguments are emotional, unreasonable, unclear and patriotic...none are backed by logic...they simply come from the love for your country, and very very biased....you are just humiliating yourself...you gotta learn the manners...and trust me, you don't know your history...I didn't say right before the invasion, I said about 150 years before invasion......as I said before; go improve you knowledge and then comeback and post...and hell, thanks for correcting my spelling mistakes...doesn't change a thing...and don gimme lectures about poverty and imperialism, I've wasted a good portion of my short life fighting against all of that...you don't know where I've been and what I have done or experienced, so don judge me...

Read the section for Afshars:

"The Afshars
In 1736 Nader himself assumed the title of Shah, immediately upon which he waged a war against the Afghans and captured Kandahar, the home of the Ghilizai Afghans. In 1738 he invaded India, and in a single campaign captured an incredible wealth, including the legendary Peacock Throne and the Kuh-e Nur diamond. He seems to have continued a career of conquest for lack of anything better to do. He made Mashhad his capital and - apparently for the sake of conciliating the Afghans - favored his Sunni subjects at the expense of the Shi'ites.....

by the way...the reason that so many Pakis speak Punjabi is because Pakis and Indians are essentially the same nation, Pakis are Muslims but Indians mostly Hindu or Sikh...as you might not know, Pakistan was part of India and was separated from India only 60 years ago...[/COLOR]

But don get me wrong, I have nothing against Indians...very smart nation, huge potentials...and as I did before, I hope prosperity for all nations, specially the depraved ones like India...that's the purpose of humanity...

Dude...once again. READ ABOUT MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH. You keep on reading upto the part where The Shah Took over india but not to where. India was very big, obviously bigger then it is now. The reason Pakistani folks speak punjabi is because before Pakistan it was Punjab. Punjab was what Maharaja Ranjit Singh ruled and that was northern India. South India had it's own rulers. India was not a united country, it was divided into different kingdoms with different rulers. You are telling me that a Billion Indians are taught the wrong history? You must be kidding me. You are telling me to improve my knowledge while the little you have isn't crap.

I never said that the Persians didn't rule India, but it's the timeframe you talked about that I argued. Of course we had persian rulers, such as Shah Jahan who made the Taj Mahal.

Here is a good read if you're up for it. Read this page and you'll know what the hell i'm talking about. http://adaniel.tripod.com/india-past.htm

ahh...it's pointless arguing with you, you change your word every time...I've read all of that before, in history books...anyways, didn't mean to insult you...take it easy, and keep it real...:t-cheers:

Believe me St. Merc. I have nothing against you as well, for I consider everyone on here as my brother. It's just that I really do get defensive about my country and my people. More so because I'm a minority even in India and the fact that my family history goes back to legendary and mythical times...I, obviously, can't prove my geneology but my people never really kept records. I don't know if you know about caste or not, but my cast is Saini and my family history can be linked with one of the Hindu gods Krishna(once again I can't prove it but it's word of mouth and hitory passed down from generation to generation). So with such a rich history running through my vains I have to defend.

Lets just enjoy our time on here...prosperity to all! :t-cheers:

It's great, I really respect one's love for his country...but don't let it cloud your judgement...the posts are off-topic and boring for others...we better wrap it up...

yeah I know...i already stopped. By the way...I read somewhere that BMW is considering opening a plant in India. Not sure where I read it though..it was one of those blog sites.

BMW is not considering but is already in the process of setting up the plant. All the plans are finalised and the construction of the plant is on. It will be fully functional sometime in 2006.

Just on a ide-note, Audi have already introduced the A4, and also are on the way to get an RS4.

Porsche has sold TONS AND TONS of Cayennes since its launch. Also, there are already bookings for the new 997 Turbo and is on its way here soon (don't know exact delivery).

Mercedes has sold tons of W221 S Classes over here already since a month of its launch and all being imported currently from Germany. I think Mumbai alone has around 10. I would expect to see lots more once they start selling locally manufactured S (50% price drop).

Also, there are about 7 M5's in India, and also a couple of Bentleys, Rolls, Maybachs, 3 Lamborghini Murcielagos, 3 Gallardos , 2 F430's with some more on their way, 2 Maserati Quattraportes.

There are rumours of a veyron being in India, but that according to me is a hoax. I see 7ers, S's (W220), 6ers, CLS's everyday, but that is more to the fact that I am currently located in what could is said to be India's most posh location (sortof a Beverly Hills to India/Mumbai)

Thanks GrimReaper. I knew something was going on between india and BMW. I'm glad to see people in India are spending lots of money. The other fact is that the Gov is finally improving the roads as well. Before the interstate roads were terrible but now they've gotton way better, still not to the standard as in US and Europe but hey at least they're doing something. The innercity roads still suck are way too jammed with traffic though, I mean horrible traffic. To drive a manual in Indian innerstreets get annoying really fast, Audi should bring in their DSG it would sell like hot cakes.

no...go to the link to wikipidia I provide in my other reply, it was invaded and ruled by Iranians afterwards...

Yes, several times when the iran/persian state was powerfull the ocupied regions of western India/Pakisthan.
However what i see on wikipedia about India is crap. Way too little info.

...Indians (mostly) are Arians...at least originally they were, before they get all mixed up...they have the same roots as Iranians and Germans...they all immigrated from plains in northern Asia...3500 years ago...part went to India, got totally mixed into ethnics and transformed into what it is right now...part went to Iran, creating the Mede and Persian empire...and part went to Germany and mixed with ethnic Germans and created what you know as Germans nowadays...it's all very well documented, if you don't agree, I could give you the links....

Here you got it all wrong.
The Indus valley civilisation predated the arian civilisation/indo-arian invasion.
The only contemporary of Indus valley civilisation were, egyptian, mesopotamian and chinese.

heh...and for Greeks...they are not younger...they are about 2500-3000 years old....in fact Alexander Burned Persepolis to avenge the burning of Acropolises by Iran's Khashayar shah about 500-1000 B.C as I remember it...so it's not very young... in fact it is almost as old as India....

The indo-european/arian migrated arrived in Europe around ~2000 BC, the Indus valley civilisation preceded that.
When the greek micenian started civilisation flowreshing ~1500 BC and was destroyed ~1000 BC by the last waves of invaders.
When the greek hellen civilisation started floreshing ~500 BC the Indus valley civilisation was long dead, the egyptian and mesopotamian civilizations declined and were already millemium old.

Now back on topic. As I said it.

I know this is off topic...but King Porus whom Alexander fought won and became friends with, I'm a decendant of that bloodline. He was a last Saini ruler of the ancient world/India...I'm damn proud to be a descendant of that...Kings blood runs through my vains :D
