I'm going to GERMANY!...and some other parts of Europe.

Here's what expects you on the Autobahn. The trucks in the right lanes don't go faster than around 100 km/h.

Sounds like a fantastic trip. :)

I'll be travelling to that area in November, along with Prague.

Here are some places I'll be visiting. If you have a rental, it's not hard navigating to these places in a short amount of time. But of course, I have a deep interest in history:
- Dachau concentration camp (NW of Munich)
- Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), Hitler's chalet (South of Salzburg)
- Castle in Ebingen (forgot the name)
- Porsche Museum in Stuttgart
- Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg
...then to Berlin.

I'm also open to more places to visit in Rome and Milan as well!

Sounds like a fantastic trip Mr Mercedes! All the best and hope you have a great time here in Europe!

Frankfurt is boring, better to replace that with Munich. Nicer city, on the foot of the Alps. Amsterdam might be something to consider too?
As others are saying Frankfurt is not worth a visit. I used to live there.
It's a beautiful city but it's for working people and not tourists. The business capital of Europe they say.
There are some sweet ass restaurants tho... but that could be said for any other part of Germany.
Visit Wiesbaden and Mainz. Especially the former. It's the most likely place to meet a Quandt so try not to do anything stupid :D

I have been told the food in Gemany is delicious, so the missus has been searching for some authentic german places that serve halal food.

Remember that there is always someone going faster than you on the autobahn. Always.

Use your mirrors and keep right if you feel you are going to fast.

^ And if someone signals to change lanes in front of you, they will do so even if you're approaching at a much higher speed.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys. Frankfurt is the port of arrival, so staying there was a given. I've reviewed the intinerary and luckily we are only there overnight. I will then be hiring a Mercedes to drive down the Autobahn to Stuttgart. :) E'class or 'Similar'. Let's see how this turns out.

Staying there is not a given. Munchen is not far from Frankfurt. I'd simply drive straight to there and not sleep in Frankfurt.

Uhm, no. Germany has the worst food (after Holland), and authentic and halal don't mix in Europe.
The Bratwurst is gut though, not sure if they are halal.

Hmm...I didn't meet anyone when I was in F10 M5 last time :D

This is also a very likely experience:

Listen to the radio, they make stau announcements all the time.

Yes, but mostly during rush hour early in the morning and when everybody goes home again.

During the day and in the evening/night you have heaven in front of you. Particularly when you're not close to a big city.

Frankfurters and company aside(I mean the "hot dogs")
I'm not too much a fan of the food either. There are some brilliant Turkish restaurants all across Germany tho.
They are as good as it gets when it comes to food IMO. Bulgarian cuisine has some strong Turkish influence thanks to us being their slaves for 5 centuries(there are some pros I guess) and I truly know what I mean.

Still upset for you not coming to Sweden. I can stand naked in my apron and make you meatballs with ketchup. Hey your wife can taste them too. If you want some pasta to it I'll make that too.
You can drive my Ford and I can take you to the King of Sweden and say hello to him and I can also introduce you to the queen.

We also have lovely IKEA museum. You can see where Ingvar Kamprad grew up, his first furnitures. Don't forget the ladies, the girls are beautiful (well, most of them).

Here you can also take look at the Saab museum. And it's not like Sweden don't have any Mercedes, we have lots of them, mostly TAXI's.
As you can see, Sweden have a lot to offer.

^ That reminds me... Many years ago, I was waiting for a plane at Stockholm/Arlanda airport, totally exhausted from having flown from Singapore via Frankfurt. Slouching on the seat, barely able to keep my eyes open, I saw a group of men approaching. One of them gave me the most intense stare, and my tired brain seemed to recognize him from somewhere, so I nodded my head at him. It was only when I recognized Queen Silvia among another group of people, walking slightly behind the first one, that I realized the person who had been staring at me was no other than King Carl Gustaf. :D

For real???

I hope you aren't in that much of a rush that you need to take the Autobahn and Autostrada. Speaking form experience, they are boring in comparison to the back roads and mountain roads and passes.

Welcome to the Finland as well, but, here is nothing, only beautiful girls, but, sorryy they all are mine ;D
