I might have a new car in four weeks

A moment ago you just posted this :

I think the Scirocco is really a good choice. I mean I really like it. If hadn't bought the 147, it would be the Scirocco.
Nah, thats not the Scirrocco I was talking about. I meant the new Golf.

Ok. The Scirocco is nice. It handles better than the Golf. It is lower and sleaker. Just less practical because it has only four seats. But I actually prefere four seats than five, the reason why I like "four-door coupés".

Go with what you feel comfortable with most Andereas. I personally wouldn't go outside Germany. even if its VAG product.

Can't wait until Alfa Romeo becomes VAG, just like Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti. :D

can't agree more but I am afraid it will be FWD only brand. I'd hate that.

No way. VAG already has FWD Seat, Skoda and VW. Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti are AWD. Only Porsche is RWD, and VAG needs a more affordable RWD to compete against BMW, it can only be Alfa. Before Alfa was purchased by FIAT, they were always RWD. For VAG there is no purpose in having another FWD brand. They need RWD.

No way Alfa goes RWD under VAG control...
Why so ? Simply because it will become even more premium than Audi and Audi is an already established brand name with billions invested to take it where it is now and Alfa is nothing right now... It's like killing Audi and taking the biggest risk ever with an Italian brand... sounds smart ? :)

Why should it kill AWD Audi ? As RWD it should kill BMW. Alfa badge is too strong for Audi ? This shows Alfa Romeo is in a deep sleep, it is better not to wake it up !

RWD Alfa will turn out to be more expensive than Audi... it's a simple fact :)
It's going to be developed from scratch... on the other hand Audi will use VAG modular platforms and will be even cheaper to develop and produce.
At least by price the Alfa will be the more premium brand then :)

Not necessarily. The Audis A4, A6, Q5 and Q7 are not based on FF-T platform are but on FF-L platform. Theoretically you could make an Audi A4 RWD. Porsche is thinking about bringing a Pajun. A 159 replacement could be based on that.

Sorry for off-topic. In any case its too early to know anything because FIAT hasn't decided to sell Alfa.

Exactly why I said "will use" :)
You can always make a car RWD... but HOW MANY things will be compromised is the question here... in this case too many... and price goes with them too :)

Still not decided yet. Its a three days trip to the dealer. I've been in contact with the dealer and discussed the price. I just have to decide if its worth a 3 days trip to the dealer and back home.

Its not a brand new car but with low miles and never been used during wintertime. So its still feels like new. Also well-equipped.

It's probably not a car you guys expected from me though ;)

Get a Bentley! It's time to step your game up.

Just buy a BMW 125i M-Sport damn you!

Merc1 buying a beemer, Just_me buying a SEAT - what's this place coming to?!? Next thing I go an buy a Citroën!

Too much money for a 218 hp car. Besides I only work 6 months every year. So my budget is kinda limited :)

Ugh. Inconvenient... no demand in Sweden for freelance graphic design and photography?

No, it's hard. I have a connection within IKEA and I work for them for 6 months every year. Sometimes I help a company I used to work for but its just for a few weeks. I seek new jobs but they aren't many and when I find something there are 300-500 others who want the same job. So yes its tough business and you know the economy around the world isn't great right now.
I need some luck to find a full time work and I'm certain it will happen one day but until that day, I can just wait and hope it happens soon.
