True, but handing out such assistance systems generously, is not a solution for safer roads.

Proper driver re-education and skill tests every few years is a measure towards safer roads.

Such systems remind me of some old people who don't look at their rear view mirrors when backing up, because they have a parking sensor with a beeper...
