How badly the Lexus IS 350 handles...

...very!

On the face of it, you've got to admit he was pushing the car to the limit. But the Lexus has no poise at all when pushed hard.

I dread to think how bad the IS-F will be.

That really was a terrible view of the IS350 in the handling department.

Kowalski, I don't know Japanese, but I'm pretty sure the slalom run we just saw was on black ice.

Do you really believe that the IS350 is so bereft of ability that it would flounder like that in normal conditions?

Thanks, i definitely have to show this to a pal of mines who is a die hard lexus freak. hes actually considering the new IS

Come on guys I know Lexus has very few fans here, but that really was a pretty bad cheap shot on the Lexus' handling. Either the ground was icy and/or just plain cold with cold tires. The IS is no 3-Series, but it doesn't handle that poorly. The track had everything to do with this IMO. The space wasn't even wide enough to a proper slolom run anyway.

I think it's pretty ovbious that the driver in the video is doing a real stunt by driving the IS350 through a slalom in conditions that would normally leave you stuffed on the side of the road.

I've taken the IS350 through a slalom pretty close to the limit and, as you'd expect, it handles pretty good. If I have a compalint it's that the steering is a little numb.

I guess this is just the magic of online disinformation. It's easy to take a shred of data, or a video clip out of context and come out a false conclusion that seems credible.

I wish it was so since I pretty much hate Lexus, but I don't think the conditions in the video can indicate that the IS has bad handling. Personally I drove the IS250 and it had pretty great handling.
