The interior looks like a comfortable place to be, but there are aesthetics quibbles
- I am surprised they are still using a traditional shifter instead of an electronic shifter. I don't exactly have an issue with this, but it takes up valuable console space. Which segues to my next point...
- the start button and power/volume knob ought to have migrated to the console or on the lower portion of the controls stack. If Lexus is going to embrace the touch screen, it should leave it looking clean, and not like something you'd see on a Honda Civic.
- now whatever switch gear is used, they ought to look a little more ornate and less plasticky. Perhaps this was a conscious decision since this might see more off-roading as compared to the LX's other lux competitors, so they want those buttons and knobs to withstand more aggressive use.
- a little more liberal use of wooden trim would be nice, but it seems that Lexus has reduced the amount of wooden trim across the rest of its line-up.
Exterior-wise, I would prefer the grille size a skosh smaller. If not, I prefer the look of the F Sport geometric mesh-like grille
