It’s the same 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine underneath the skin but it’s now mated to a recalibrated automatic gearbox. While the peak output remains unchanged at 1,500 horsepower (1,103 kilowatts), the rpm redline has been set 200 rpm higher than on the “standard” Chiron and is now at 6,900 rpm. In addition, 15-percent closer gear ratios of the gearbox further improve the power delivery and engine response which results in 40 percent better elasticity values compared with the Chiron.

Bugatti plans to build just 16 examples of the Chiron Pur Sport, each wearing a price tag of €3.2 million excluding VAT, or $3.55 million at the current exchange rates. Production will begin in the second half of 2020.

That wing takes on a literal function attached to a Chiron's svelte design. It's a spoiler.

The 300 looks amazing...this not so much.

Derailing this thread but I feel too strongly about this.

Definition of a spoiler:
"a person or thing that spoils something."

Also, the reason why I hate, yes, hate, when people drive around with their retractable spoilers in the up position on their A7s, 911s, TTs (worst fake sportscar anyway), Panameras, etc. In the city. At 20 mph. Blasting music. With the window down.

Absolute worst-case scenario: Parked TT (of course the base with aftermarket wheels) in front of a coffee shop.

Chiron Pur Sport
Chiron Super Sport 300+

Whats next? Chiron Super Duper Sport Hypersport Pur Speed?

At this point I have to ask, WTF is Bugatti doing?

Imagine ordering a Cemtrodieci (or whatever it is called) or a Chiron Super Sport 300+ just to get slapped with a delay, because Bugatti will prioritize the production of this.

Is it just me that I get the feeling since Winkelmann took over Bugatti he is making again million special editions like at Lamborghini?

€3.2m without VAT. Yikes!
It’s clearly a car for someone who has everything and more money that they have time to spend.

I think they were trying to make a sporty chiron and thought that adding a wing to it would make it one, but not one in the heads of the netizens.

Considering what Koenigsegg showed off today, Bugatti should just go back to the drawing board with their models and special editions.

I would like to see the balance sheets of Bugatti over the last 17 years. I bet the special editions of the Chiron and it’s platform are to make up all of the $$$ lost on the veyron

The balance sheets will only tell you a portion of the story - I'd want to see the profit and loss statements first.

What's the point? Internally VAG can manipulate numbers as much as they want. For example Bugatti may buy the paint from Audi. Audi buys it for 50 Euro/l and sells it to Bugatti for 200 000 Euro/l. And Bugatti will be finally on lost and Audi on profit. And vice versa of course. It's up to them to decide which company what result to show, depending on their marketing requirements.

Would love to see this thing blasting around the N-Ring. It will probably set a new record for a production car
