Front looks exactly like something from Alibaba.com. Sweet Lord give me a f'ing break here!! The front looks as bad as the rear now!
Such a shame, as the overall shape is iconic.

I seriously considered the M240i and had my name and deposit down for the M2 as I find the size and overall proportions of the 2 coupe perfect for me. Glad I just went for the M4 in the end.

Maybe this will grow on us, like half of the BMW stuff lately. Or it could just remain butt ugly like the other half.

We live in sad times. We really do. The design of the cars get weirder and weirder. The interior quality is worsening. We get less buttons and more of these unusable and dangerous screens. We get more and more downsizing and overweight hybrid cars. And the future is electric cars withouth sound, and emotionless drivetrain (and useless range).

I think the car is going to look good. All of the recent press "spy shots" in the colourful M camo wrap, the car has looked very good.

These are just very weirdly angled and distorted photos that don't do the car's design any justice.

Do you see all those squared intake vents become three dimensional? How they protrude from the bumper. The rear is similar.

I went to the BMW dealership and didn't like 90% of what I saw. That new 2er GT is ugly, the M240 is uglier IRL than in pics, everything with the 4er grille is ugly, X4/6 are ugly, 1er ugly, 2er GC fugly. But most of all, all these cars look and feel like mass produced econoboxes, not that different from a Toyota.

Yet meanwhile, they spam the 7er as much as they possibly can, yet it will only arrive in dealerships in December.
Sad times when the only dream car is standing outside.

But everything will be fine you say, which is comforting to hear.

I really like the way it looks already, but still wanted to make few changes. I find it really odd that people are finding the design “fugly” yet it’s not even that controversial of a design.

Indeed. I wasn't (still am not) a fan of the G42 back/rear lights. I hoped, that it worked out better with the G87 back/rear bumper. Seems to be not the case at all. Rear looks almost ugly ... but I think the angle/distorted look of the photo plays a huge role here. I'm curious how it turns out with the press pics then.

I didn’t like the rear lights at first. They seem to have grown with me now.

in this photo the front doesnt look as bad as other photo. The car actually looks good in this photo, the rectangular front goes very well with the straight line side design.
