Honda In America

Honda has become far too US centric. They have lost their engineering driven culture and they are all but irrelevant in the Australian market these days.

It's sad as I grew up with Hondas for 20 years.

US centric or not, Honda is being left behind, look at what Hyundai and Mazda have achieved in the same period. These two have really stepped up in terms of design, quality, technology and customer service. Here in Sydney, you walk into any Honda dealership and it is like travelling back in time. Nothing has changed. Showrooms are cramped, dated, and the staffs are poorly trained.

Agreed. I owned several Hondas in my life and driven a lot more as many of my friends also owned Honda cars. The old 1980s Accord and Civics were the best and sportiest Honda sedans IMO. They were low to the ground, had large glasshouses, airy interiors, and the old engines used to rev smoothly even without VTEC technology. I was a Honda fan among the Japanese brands at the time. New Honda sedans are automobile tools, they are SUV tall with massive side pillars and designs are unattractive IMO.
