Comparison tests Hockenheimring Short: BMW M4 DKG vs BMW M2 DKG (same driver)

Hi guys, I compared the fastest lap of each car by Sport Auto. Driver was Uwe Sener in both cars.

Damn, the performance of the M2 is too damn close to the M4.

The M2 is much better value for money, it is quicker around the corners and nearly as quick on the straights also. It also looks better in my opinion than the M4 but that is a tiny difference as the M4 is a stunning looking car also.

Btw M2 would be more than enough for me, in terms of performance.

I'm not so sure the M2 is better value for money. In the real world big discounts are available on the M4. In the UK for example, you can pretty much get an M4 for the same price as an M2, and with more equipment such as LED headlights, HUD etc. When you start thinking about the extra exotic equipment you get on the M4, such as CFRP roof, prop shaft, lightweight boot lid, more bespoke seats, more choice of colours etc., then it makes the M2 look very expensive.

The only reason I'm getting an M2 is that it should hold its value pretty well.
