3 Series (E90) Here it is: E93!!

The BMW E90 is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range. Body styles: E90 (saloon), E91 (estate/touring), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). Predecessor: BMW E46. Successors: F30/F31 3 Series, and F32/F33 4 Series. Production: 2004-2013.
A very nice job by BMW...if I needed a second car this may be the one I would select. Nice lines and the 3er has always been my favorite BMW (except for my Z3 back in '98.) The grille has a shade of Audi design with the horizontal air dams and license plate holder area...not one I am terribly fond of but the rest of the car is a winner.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I'll need to see it in another color in real life or at least in some other angles.

At the risk of being jumped by the BMW Mafia and/or rest of the 3er CC lovers this is my least favorite BMW since the E39 5er.

It just doesn't do it for my so far.

the car is gr8 looking all over..but with the top up..the rear quarter is wierd..
the rear windows with the top up are very akward..
imo this looks like one of them manuall hardtops for the last 3er coupe..

No interior shots but I guess its the same as the Coupe.

Strange. mediapool.bmw.com features interior shots, roof blueprints, N53 engine (and its parts) shots etc, yet they are not included in this PR kit.

:t-hands:

I guess they will include all the other pics in the E93 "In depth" PR - in late December / early January - before E93 debuting at NAIAS.

Yeah the car has been released now. Post a few other shots in different colors and with interior too please.

Looks decent other then the oddly shaped C-pillar, it will certainly sell like hot cakes (BMW's first hard top vert) while also eating a bit of coupe sales.

For interior shots, you can download the videos Siko posted. Interior looks very cool, the backpart is sweet and large.

I'd say it depends how they price this car. The E92 is already $40k (335i of course) so if they jack up the price, it'll be a bit more exclusive. I'm sure this car won't be cheap at all.

German market prices (incl. 19% VAT):

E92:

325i = €36,780
330i = €41,140
335i = €44,320
330d = €47,400

E93:

[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica]325i = €44,450
330i = €48,350
335i = €50,750
330d = €49,000

It looks really good with the top off, but on..it looks really weird.. Sorry, but those preportions are all wrong. That's my 2 cents.

No softtop version? The car has lost its masculinity now because of the roof line. I think its as much as a womans car as the TT roadster.

????

Roof line emulates canvas top of E46! And that was an intention.

Yet E92 / 93 does look more elegant than E46 - because the place of more sporty coupe & softop cabrio will taken by upcoming 2er coupe & cabrio.

Btw - fresh news from Monday: BMW Board made decision about new 6er - new 6er cabrio will come with folding hardtop. Intention is to emultate current interesting & special canvas top - if costs stays under limits. Otherwise CC will have more conventional metal folding roof (like E93). Overall design of new 6er will be an evolution of E63 /4 (similar general shape / profile) with better integrated design elements (eg. raised bootlid, headlights, etc).
