Hello,

I got cross linked from another forum and ended up here.
Nice to find fellow enthusiasts on German engineering.

My name is Tobi and I'm German but live in Florida now for almost 4 years.

I always was into BMW's in the past. Anyway when I moved to the US I decided to try American cars and went for a 2005 SRT10 Viper and a Camaro. Well both didn't really appeal to me.

Replaced the Viper with an M3 (I still have my Emma) and an Boxster S.
Since then I went through a couple BMW and Porsche's but Emma stayed with me since.

Long story short, stable now is tight since I sold my Porsche 993 two weeks ago.
I drive daily an BMW Z4 roadster, weekends are reserved for Emma and my bike (Ok I hardly ride my bike) and I got my wife last week an BMW X5 35d LCI.

I'm looking forward to this board. (y)

Thank you for the warm welcome!

You have a stable I would love to call my own. :)

So far R8 prices are too high for me. I check the prices on them once in a while but damn they hold value in the US.

is it normal that every single post is moderated or just a brake for the new noobs?

Never mind with the restrictions.

Hello Zettinger, I also say welcome to GCF. Enjoy your membershift. GCF is one of the best possibilities to talk about (german) cars at international level. Maybe the best one.

Regards from your mother country,
Rainer

Wundert mich das ich jetzt erst auf GCF gestossen bin.

Gruesse zurueck. Vermisse Biergarten (besonders Bier (y)) schon sehr!
Werde im April nach Muenchen fliegen Familie und Freunde besuchen.

Vielen Dank! Let's keep it auf Englisch tho... since it's the only language we are allowed to use on the forums :)
I bought my R8 in Germany for a pretty good price. My advise is that you better keep with Porsche and buy a second one. 2 Porsches and 2 Bimmers under the same hood.... whoooah yummy. Sounds better than any Audi :)

For me the X5 still the leader of the marekt and it the first brand programmed to be buy when we did the purchase around the world; good motorisation; feeling & technics aptitudes;)
