Hello from the California Bay Area

Well this is the best spot to chat about German cars. We are a few Porsche africandos here and will try an help you with any questions you might have. Quite a unique and interesting line up of cars you have.

Hello and welcome!

You own a Ford GT? Wow!

Congratulations on owning one of the most amazing vehicles of the century (as I'm sure you're already aware).

:t-cheers:

Thanks everyone for the nice reception.
And yes, the FGT is simply amazing. A childhood dream come true - watching Ford beat Ferrari on Wide World of Sports back in the day, I lusted for the GT. Thought I'd try to get one after production ended before the collectors drove the price into the stratosphere.
It doesn't get a lot of use - so far. I took delivery of a 200 mile pre-owned last fall.
But truth is, the 997S is just about perfect. The supercar you can drive every day. Can't beat it.

Welcome from a fellow bay area resident. I once saw a Ford GT in that color combo at Santana Row, may be it was yours - fantastic car.

You have a very nice collection of cars there, and I love your GT. It is one of my dream cars mate. Can't wait for more photos and perhaps a driver+owner impression of your GT so far?

Here is my GT. It is pretty small, doesn't really go fast, and I definitely can't sit in and drive. Bruce has one as well.

Welcome as well. But no, that wasn't mine. But your comment provokes the line from Star Wars, "There is another...". :)
It doesn't get out too often yet - and frankly, and it is currently 'trapped' in my garage. Some kind soul backed into the door this week and broke it, making it inoperable. Too bad, perfect driving weather this weekend here in the Bay Area. :(

They're beautiful at any scale.
And I'll try to write up a mini-review one of these days. But to be fair, this is a German car forum. Let's talk Porsches!!
If anyone has a driver/owner report on anything 997, I'd sure be interested.
:)

I know someone in this forum has a 997S, and another memember has a 997 GT3 RS. Will find out later
