I am especially interested in your cave err, garage situation.
As I understand cave, err, garage space in HK is the most expensive in the world.

It is, outdoor parking space cost about USD 300/month, indoor probably close to 500-600.
Buying a parking space, depends on location, will cost from 100k to 200k. And up to 1mil In some downtown office building parking.
Owning a car in HK has a lot of expense.
Annual license for the car cost from USD200 to 2000 depends on the engine size.
Annual insurance fee for new driver is up to 2000 to 4000 depends on the car model.
Of cuz there are cheaper insurance that will do around 500 but only insure third party.
The above is normal rate without discount.
I have a bimmer 420i, my insurance is around 700 with 60% discount and full insurance.
And definitely need to mention, oil price is the most expensive in the world, we get 97 or 98 octane only, but there is still normal and supreme, normal oil is about $2.50/Litre and supreme oil is $2.70/lite. But then most oil station will offer discount and coupon, which is about $0.1 to 0.30 discount per litre.
For car retail price, I got my 420i 3years ago, used, one previous owner. Price is about a new 435i price in US
Tax in HK is crazy, Tesla p100d is about 250k
