After some short discussion about the rear ends of cars today, I thought I would start a thread about it.

What makes a great rear end? ....what are your favourites?

Please post images of rear ends you really like (purely automotive of course :D ...no pics of Jennifer Lopez)

...........................................................................................................

Here is a couple I think are really great.

Most of you probably already know I love this car ...but I really think it has a great rear end ....it looks so mysterious and prestigious.

My favourite rear end of all the recent supercars ....it is so sexy.

Great thread Rob.

I’ve always liked the Ford GT’s rear end too. Very retro, yet modern and mechanical.

I suppose I don’t have to post the Zonda… but I will anyways:

Love the blatant symmetrical and mechanical theme with its extrovert shapes, etc.

Both the rear end of the Wiesmann GT and Porsche 993 Turbo also have rear ends which are favourites of mine. Both have the same road-sucking rear theme – almost like a hatch back – with the addition of flared wheel arches. Such a combination is common among 911’s, but it looks fabulous on any car.

Aston Martin Vantage 600:

Imposing and timeless.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640:

Same basic reasons as the Zonda.

I also love the rear end of the: Carrera GT; Spyker C8; Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM and the TVR Sagaris. But as per usual my affection for supercars rules my posts; so now it’s time for more “down-to-earth” automobiles (not all..but.. :))

Love the rear end; classy, simple and somewhat retro.

One of my absolute favourite designs of all time – from every angle. The rear design is very well thought out paying homage to the 507.

Don't care what anyone says.. I love it.

When it comes to classics..

The Bizzarrini 3500 GT Stradale is without a doubt my favourite. Conceived by Giotto Bizzarrini; the man who worked on the Ferrari 250 GTO. The inspiration from the 250 GTO is evident, but I think it looks even better. ;)

Aston Martin V8 Virage

I want to put the BMW X6 on the list but unfortunately the car hasn't been lunched yet. But just like Bruce I love the rear end of the 911 Turbo car, no car beat their looks from behind. The rear is so wide, phat and gives the impression that the car is sucked to the ground.

Just look at this sexy ass.

The CGT is also very sexy from behind. The whole design with the exhaust, the wing and the lights is pure art work, to to mention the font for the "Carrera GT" text.

BMW CS, Z8, CL65 AMG (look bum-man's pic), current SLK, Wiesmann GT, all current Porsches, E92 coupe, etc...

:t-cheers:

I'm not going to past a pic because people will laugh at me but I have for the life of me always loved the facelift BMW 7 series bum.... It speaks nothing but class and it dominates on road... it grabs your attention and sends your eyes down the lines of the car.. and i perosnally love it

:D

I'm NOT going to laugh at at you. ;)

Btw, I love this one:

What is exactly wrong about it... Its much nicer the S class rear and the A8 rear puts me to sleep... and well the lexus LS is a 7 series rear anyway

The 7 series is a younger person car i think... im not old and i find it exciting and i like the big bold statement it makes... THis car is different and its meant to be... no one wants a a boring bland no substance and soul car worth an arm and a leg... its pointless that way... we all no ppl spend that sort of money to make a statement

and the 7 series makes one big statement... and i love it :D
