Fantastic. Unlike the new A4, this Audi exceeds all expectations and this for a wagon no less. The sedan is going to be incomprehensible, unfathomable, enigmatic, and unfathomable.

Audiholic, sometimes I feel that you have massively unrealistic expectations! ;) :)

The car is fabulous, albeit it a tad on the obscene side (to quote a friend of mine).

650 Nm, eh? No way you're going to get an S-Tronic transmission to handle that torque unless you pluck the (very different) dual clutch transmission from the Veyron. Sequential manual? You'll fry that clutch with all that torque being available at just 1500 rpm. 6 speed manual gearbox some of you ask? You'll need a left leg that's built like Ben Johnson's and be taking all those "supplements" too. No, I'm perfectly comfortable with a good old-fashioned, robust torque convertor automatic. It's only on a racetrack pushing at 10/10ths that you'll need quicker shifts and besides if it's anything as good as BMW's Steptronic in the 335i (and I'm more than certain it will be) then it'll be darn well suited to the big wagon.

It's been two days now but I cant find the "WoW feeling" I had when C63 and RS4 were presented. I dont feel the same.

That makes it two of us. The reason is most likely because the RS6 doesn't have the aggressive DTM styling like the C63 and RS4. Further more it is launched in Avant form which doesn't make my left pinky finger tingle.

The styling is typical Audi "nice". Attractive and stylish but without any daring or aggressive details. Overall the design for this car is aimed at the mature crowd. Men over 35 with families.

Most of us prefer cars with a bit more attitude. The front should look mean as a bitch.

So do you feel the M5 and E63 Touring have a more aggressive apearance?

And nothing does that better than the C63,my major problem with the RS6 now is the low torque coming from that monster TT V10!

You should stop bitching about the torque. 650 Nm is more than what the competitors have and that's enough.

I know the torque is just over what the E63 offers, but for that heavy ass car and that big turbocharged engine the torque should be at least 800nm just what i think:t-cheers:

remember rs6 deliever 650nm all the way from 1300 rpm to 6000 rpm, thats a lot more than M5 and E63.

I know, the E63 has plenty on low RPM too,it's just bugs me that a big TT V10 delievrs only 650nm i was expecting nowhere less than 750-800nm like MB's engines!

sure E63 has plenty of torque too but not as much as 650nm and not from 1400 to 6000rpm. and who knows, the engine might develop more power than Audi claim, at least according to the rumours.

Thank you :)

thanks for what? your picture doesnt change anything. Those headlights still looks the same, with or without LEDs. And the front skirt on the RS6 could be more edgy as well. RS6 got the power but miss the aggressivness.

The M5 has a more sinister look but there is a problem with it too, and the same goes for the E63. Both cars have been diluted in the sense that they are 530i and E500 touring which sports kits out there looking just like the M5 and E63.
Audi on the other hand keep their performance versions exclusive by not offering sports kits to make all the wannabes happy.

With that being said the RS6 touring is a more attractive car than the E63 and M5, but not compared with the C63 and RS4 Avant.

Personally I would never buy the RS6. I would rather buy an RS4 sedan and an A6 avant for the same price.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
