Some feedback on the progress made thus far in this thread...
As some of you will notice, a regular member has just been (temporarily for now) banned as a result of persistent behaviour that is contrary to the rules of this forum. In a community such as this it is important that we as members do not insult, criticise or provoke other members because it's simply not civilised and isn't conducive to creative discussion.
Many members of this community have known each other for years now and we have, as refugees of the erstwhile GCF forum, undertaken to continue with this association because we enjoy discussing cars, we enjoy each others company and value each others opinion. Sure, some of the old stalwarts of the previous board have left and there are some new members too but the core community has remained largely intact and now we have a new home kindly facilitated by NSL.
Our values have not changed. We simply cannot condone inappropriate behaviour and / or ill treatment of others and in order to prevent the deterioration of our community we have to take measures to safeguard it. The core community understands this and supports this stance and the moderators are merely the "voice of the people".
Co-operative consultation between the mods and owner of this site has lead to this course of action and it won't be the last. People not adhering to the forum rules will be banned. Members infringments will lead to their, at first, being advised and, ultimately, being banned should the situation persist.
Blind fan-boy behaviour and irrational, scornful criticism of a certain brand is not tolerated either. If a certain brand or model doesn't appeal to you then provide a substantiated, informed comment as to why - should you really feel that you ought to - and move on. In a thread such as this poll, submit your ranking, articulate your choice if need be and be done. If you're drawn into a debate regarding your opinion then do so in accordance with the forum guidelines.

I knew I was going to hear about that comment. But I know its a joke (hence the smily) so Im not
going to lose any sleep over it.
Matt, clearly you knew that your comment was going to land you in hot water but you went ahead with it anyway. The insertion of the smiley was completely superfluous and means nothing to anyone but you. bum-man is a respected member of this community, and has been with us for some years now. You can't just tell someone to "go jump off a..." simply because he
hit a nerve. I (and just about everyone else) actually agree with him. Your retaliation was inappropriate.
This thread had gotten completely out of hand because why? People started a flame war, got personal and downright disrespectful. All over one little S6. Tsk tsk tsk.

Hey Martin, Isnt their a pole in this thread to allow others to voice their opinion (valid or not) and are'nt opinions exactly what forums are about. If it was just about admiring the car then frankly the thread would be rather boring, Dont you think?
I have absolutely no qualms with that concept in any way Matt, a hearty debate is always good improving knowledge all round. Provided the discussion remains civil and one backs up one's opinion with valid points then no problemo. But to launch an attack in any form is not acceptable because that just goes and screws up the whole discussion for everyone. Sunnyman12 is on a very very short string at the moment.
In the end a perfectly fine, worthwhile thread has been turned to mud by a few insensitive posts. Deplorable.
This thread has run its course. Locking.
