Never played the game wimmer. But I would not doubt the dam could be in the chase...largest dam in the US I think and a modern "wonder of the world." They say that even though built in 1931-35 the concrete is still curing and some may even be in liquid form in the deepest parts of the dam.

If you get a chance there are several doc films and TV shows about contruction...remember this was done in the early 1930's.

All of your pictures are fantastic. I won't stand a chance, but I'll chip in anyway:

Grand Central Station
Canon iXUS500
Christmas Day
I like it a lot, very stylish black-on-white photo :eusa_clap This is a subway in New York I suppose? Recently, I wanted to take a similar photo in the subway of Brussels, but the result wasn't quite as good (mainly because there wasn't enough light, but what else would you expect in a subway :D )

When I set this comp up my intention was that anyone would be able to make it. Thought it was still like that. Jeff is the boss now though. Where do you stand on this?

Wow. Now there's waaayyyyy too many good entries! I can't believe the photos this week.

I think we need 2 votes this time around.

Thank you so much El Zorro. :usa7uh:

Yup, it's the Grand Central Station at the dead of afternoon. Everyone's back home for their turkey dinner while I remain outside, desperate for a restaurant...

I was really fortunate this station was particularly well lit with all the zig-zag tubes hanging from the roof. :usa7uh:

Wow! That is a fabolous pic! Imo, this is one of the winner-candidatc! :usa7uh:

Haha thanks Audiholic!

If I may chip in my opinion, I feel that while Choleric should generally be expected to start all of the new comps because he is sort of 'in charge' of the photography section of GCF, he should be given a day's grace, or something like that, to start his threads. Not everyone can log in daily and even less can log in every few hours. ;)

I agree.:eusa_clap BTW, your picture reminds me of a review of the DB9 you still owe us... :D :D

I agree, although as James and Alex kind of eluded to, It's nice to have some continuity with these, So that is why I have been doing them, and I usually create the voting threads on Thursday night/Friday morning, depending on where you live, I then create the new comp threads on sunday night/monday morning, again depending on where you live. So if you don't see the threads by late (11PM/2300) Friday or Monday night where ever you live (Except maybe James since youre in Asia and a whole day ahead), it would be appreciated that someone please create them in my absence. Thanks.
