Geely - the company most desperate in the world to be BMW.
Why don't you go ahead and build yourselves a Rolls, oh... my bad, you have already done that. Spirit of Ecstasy and all...

There is a difference between the Spirit of Ecstasy and taking ecstasy pills. The Geely management must have done the latter. I'm glad we are only seeing renderings and not the real thing.........yet.
Oh snap. That back seat is clearly designed for an Asian dictator developign nuclear arms. Good work on the side mirrors though.
Oh, they even managed to copy RR starry headliner. Nice.
What's with those Asians? Now the Japanese, then Koreans, and now the Chinese. Xerox nations.
What a waste of potential ... Billions of people, and - they only manage to copy. I guess they 've become completely spiritless nation ... Without any inspiration, imagination & ideas. What a shame!
C'mon eg. Japanese & Korean carmakers had to open European design studios to get some really fresh design ideas.

It looks like an ancient temple on wheels
BTW, the rear layout is very interesting actually! Nice thought

This car reminds me of something. But what?
The rear seat is...impressive. But won't you feel a bit...alone? Where does the young and pretty trophy wife/girlfriend fit?
Another one to add to the rising lawsuits BMW have building up regarding clones.
Our lawyers are definetely interested in this one.

Frag. I laughed out loud when I saw that single back seat or should I say, throne. It looks like something Dr. Evil would use. Or, fit a toilet bowl in place of the seat and you get the idea of a luxury mobile lavatory that the Sultan of Brunei might use - replete with starry roof for heavenward stares when you're pushing beads from your auntie's vindaloo.

Indeed. This one will be easy.
RR Greek temple grille is copyrighted. Several times. By BMW AG. Same case with Emily figure (Spirit of Ecstasy).
The problem is China still doesn't give a s..t about copyrights. And this car is for Chinese market only. So, I'm afraid BMW have no proper weapon to fire ... Unless the German state is ready to intervene via its Embassy in China, or even on higher level. I'm sure BMW are forcing German government to open such copying issue on state-to-state level. Just like USA did in the case of software / CD / DVD piracy.

Isn't copyright infringement what makes China's wheels turn? This is the industrialisation of Japan another time over...

Yep, "Little Kim" also came on my mind when I first saw that car.
PS: it indeed looks like he sits on a toilet.

LOL at Wimmer and bmer! Good shot guys!
Muhahahaha...!
I don't think that this is ranks on the top 50 list of issues the German Government have to deal with at the moment. If the car is only for sale in China then it's not a major problem, but what they are doing is still highly unacceptable.

Not this Geely car per se. But the whole copy-thing Chinese are doing lately. It's about protection of intellectual property after all. It's a serious thing ... Millions are invested in R&D (incl. design, marketing etc). With just copying the finished thing one gets an advantage - an unfair advantage. Or at least causing some damage to the party in question.
Ohh this is great..Mclaren F1 style seat.. but reversed..
And RR looks..
Where do i sign up?
