Future VW Models List

Do excuse my stupidness, but is the 'Up' the replacement for the Fox which was the replacement for the Lupo? Or is the 'Up' just a new Lupo?

I went looking at some VWs yesterday, they are some wonderful cars. Plan to own one at some point. The Touareg is hands down my favorite SUV right now. I hope they do launch another Phaeton, but it needs to be a smaller, less expensive car...if they must do this again. It won't sell in the U.S, but hey...its only a fraction of the 86B VW is spending.

The Touareg is the best SUV at the moment, because at the moment the Cayenne is the best SUV, and when you look at the Touareg it is exactly the same but with VW badge. Now to know the truth, whether it is a Porsche with VW badge or a VW with Porsche badge is a hard to find out. The priced different however really lies on the badge. If VW bring up a new Phaeton, it will just be an Audi A8 with VW badge.
I know there are more differences than just the badge, but the soul of the car is the same, it is a VAG.

How about new eos and new passat. I do not expect the current passat to be produced for 10 years that is until 2015.

Eos maybe dropped in favour of a fabric Passat sized Cabriolet.
Passat B8 due 2015 & Passat NMS (US/China) 2017.

Volkswagen considering more R models; Polo and Passat likely targeted

R-badged wagon possible
In an interview with Motoring, Volkswagen's head of powertrain development, Dr Heinz-Jakob Neusser announced more R models are being analyzed.

Fueled by the success of the Golf R, Volkswagen is considering a diversification of the R portfolio which could be expanded with hot versions of the Polo supermini and Passat mid-size sedan. The Polo already received a Polo R WRC Streetedition with 217 bhp but it was available in a limited series of 2,500 units while the previous generation Passat was available in a beefier R36 so both of them have been offered in a higher performance trim before.

When asked to specify the models which will likely get the R badge, Neusser hinted at the Polo and Passat but also at a wagon and chances are he was referring to the Golf R Variant as numerous prototypes have been spotted testing on the Nürburgring earlier this year. Future R models will likely be offered with a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system as well as with six-cylinder engines that could also be turbocharged depending on application.
