Future Pagani Models (Discussion, rumours, info, etc)

Going to be a sick, sick, sick car. I hope it will be shown at Paris this year. We're in another golden area for sports cars, environmentalists be damned.

Report: Pagani planning lightweight V8 supercar for 2015

Horacio Pagani isn't accustomed to sitting still. The Argentine-Italian supercar-maker has been tweaking successive versions of the Zonda since its creation, and recently took the Nürburgring lap record with the track-focused Zonda R. But that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to things to come for Pagani.

Next on the horizon is the tentatively dubbed C9. The successor to the current Zonda is expected to get a twin-turbo V12 made specifically for the Modenese firm by Mercedes AMG, not the decommissioned supercharged V8 from the SLR as previously speculated. But don't discount the idea of an eight-cylinder Pagani just yet, as fresh reports from Europe suggest that a second model could be in the works to slot in below the C9/Zonda and give the niche automaker a two-car lineup.

As is often the case with such reports, details are scarce at the moment, but the formula calls for a smaller, lighter-weight package than either the current Zonda or the upcoming C9. Sources don't expect the sprightlier Pagani to arrive before 2015, but as the sayings go, good things come in small packages...and to those who wait.

^According to plans..
Death to the italia and gallardo:D:D

^nah should be around twice the money..
and yes..its a hand made car..
And they dont forget ur ass after you buy it..;)
And its more exclusive..

My sources have recently revealed to me that Pagani's entery-level sportscar will be co developed with AMG-Mercedes! My sources have revealed the way both companies plan to cut cost on development! I hope you all are ready for this news, cause it's madness!!! LOL! Pagani and MAMG will take the passenger cell of the SLS( Gullwing doors and all) and cut the front and rear sections of the chassis to make this model a tru e mid-engine, while keeping most of the structure in tact! My sources have stated to me that Pagani is planning this method to keep development cost low and allow there new entry-level sportcar to follow some styling cues taken form the larger C9 which will arrive later this year! The engine of choice is said to be AMG's SLS 6.2 liter V-8 though uned by Pagani-AMG to produce roughly 600+ BHP at the rear wheels! While this is huge news for Pagani, AMG will use this new mid-engined chassis for the so-called SLM, which will use the AMG hybrid twin-turbo V-8 whiich should be good for about 550 BHP, this will be even greater with the SLS Black Series coming soon which should be fgoor for about 620+ BHP which will see the topspeed rise to about 210 MPH.

From Mclaren P10 at Carspyshots..
As always take it with a fist of salt..

PS
Dude has been right about some things though..
And this sure sounds exciting:)

All his credibility goes out the window if the new Zonda doesn't have the M159. I'm still hoping it gets a V12 though because that has always been way more special.

Nope its gettin the V12..i can promise u that..
And this dude even changed his story..( abit late though) and acknowledged the V12..

During an interview with Argentina Auto Blog, Horacio Pagani confirmed the Zonda-replacing C9 will be launched towards the end of 2010. It will feature a 6.0-liter V12 Mercedes-Benz AMG engine with 700 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, which means the C9 will be almost as powerful as the Zonda R (which churns out 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque).

Pagani C9 Being Homologated To Meet U.S. Standards

Unadulterated, bombastic carbon-fiber insanity--the current Pagani Zonda and its several variants are the embodiment of what it is to be a supercar. But sadly, the car was never officially sold in the U.S. and only a handful have made their way here under special Show & Display rules.

That won’t be the case with the Zonda’s successor, the code-named C9, which has already been spied testing in prototype form on a number of occasions.

The C9 is said to be a completely new ca, from concept, weight distribution, materials and dynamics. In fact, it will feature more than 3,770 new parts among which are a carbon-titanium chassis, specially developed Pirelli tires and Bosch electronics. It is also being designed with U.S. homologation fully in mind, which means the car will meet California’s latest 2013 emissions regulations as well as EPA and DOT standards--something the Zonda never did.

Power will come from a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 engine built by AMG, and should top out at 690 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque.
The Pagani C9 supercar is expected to make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show next March. Pricing is expected to start at roughly $1.2 million.
