As for Lewis: I wouldn't be surprised should 2021 be his last season in F1. He is the overwhelming favorite for the WDC, has accomplished so immensely much as a driver and appears to be a man of many interests. His legacy is more than secure.

Life for the drivers during Covid is extremely isolated. They live motorhomes/caravans at the circuits, attend team briefings over zoom and can't meet friends.

How many drivers have been tested COVID-19 positive so far ? Off the top of my head, it's been Perez, Stroll, Hamilton, Leclerc, Norris, Gasly... And Toto Wolff was tested positive as well.

Formula 1 has agreed a plan to freeze engine specifications. A proposal to introduce sprint races has not yet been agreed but remains under discussion.

What does this mean technically??

Not everything in or around the power unit has a defined specification, the different engines are not built to a common blueprint. Development can occur in areas that aren't specifically defined in the rulebooks. An example might be in nano-coatings for engine internals; the chemistry, depth, and coating method is not/may not be (I can't remember) specified in the rule book, so if Mercedes have one that works better than Ferrari, they use it, and get an advantage. If it were specified, the coating would (ideally in the spirit of the rules) be same in both.

Shame, development freezes are bad IMHO. Keep the spec the same so nobody has to start from a clean sheet, but with a development freeze, if you've messed up, you're stuck with it, may as well quit and save the money.
