F1 Formula 1.2018 New cars and Races.

I
Either way, my days of getting up at 5:10am just to watch a shit illegal stream are done

Understand. Lucky I’ll be able to watch legally on the big screen. I so cannot wait, and am more than happy to wake up early!

Gooooooo Maxxxxxxxx

Have you EU guys taken the summertime change into the equation? The clock is going forward one hour this saturday night...

Watched both FP1 and FP2, I know it is not conclusive yet but you can get a feel of the different cars performance:-

- Mercedes seem they still have the fastest cars (bit disappointed)
- RB's Max sure is a hell of a driver, lets see what he can do in the qualifier, Richardo where you at ?
- Ferraris have not yet unleashed their cars, I'm highly optimistic about their performance this year, specially the trouble maker Seb.
- HAAS did a create job with their cars this year, Grosjean with that lap !!
- McLaren is improving with Renault engines, but I don't see them with the top 3.
- Force india, this team has high potential, once they change their name perhaps :D
- Torro Rosso, Williams, Sauber, they will be fighting in the bottom (n)

Regardless, the season just started and I'm exited about the first race, hope Lewis doesn't get P1 so he can fight with the guys in the middle :D, I always thought he is a conservative driver

Good thing Liberty Media is uploading the qualifying highlights on youtube.

Lewis with Mercedes is in the league of their own, they have widen the gap to Ferrari and Red Bull. Meanwhile, Mclaren has finally been exposed, for all their blaming on Honda for their poor performance for the past 3 years, Alonso can only qualify 11th, with the same engine as RB. Saubar is going no where while Williams is going back to the dark ages. How can a team be so bad with Mercedes powered engines?

It seems the gap between MB and Ferarri is now wider than it was during the last races of 2017. RB appears to have come quite close to Ferrari too.

The rest of the teams are clearly several steps behind, as expected.

The gap is not that disastrous and Ferrari can gradually narrow it over the season. Let's see who's got the better race pace and tyres wear and outright speed in corners is where we could see a bigger or narrower gap.

I wonder whether they are secretly developing their own F1 engine. After all, if the Renault partnership doesn't work out, there's no one engine manufacturer to turn to.

Exiting Q3, sadly Bottas felt to much pressure on him, this accident will sure cost him and the team a lot (probably a new gear box and an engine ?, also losing points).

Mercedes sure have the fastest car, not sure about lewis being the best driver but sure he is better than Bottas. The interesting thing is how close RB to Ferrari numbers are, Max is less than a tenth from both Ferraris, Ricchardo will fall under Max's shadow that's for sure, he is no longer the best RB driver.

I'm more and more disappointed about McLaren, yes they are better than last year but not enough, they will be fighting in the middle bottom.

As I mentioned before, HAAS are a nice surprise, their numbers might get them to the 4th place this year, Renault also seem to have good cars.

Williams!! they are happy with 14th place timing !! shame on a team that has Mercedes engine....

Ferrari needs to up their game on in season development, in the past few seasons they were not able to match Mercedes and Red Bull's rate of development, 0.6 sec is a huge gap to overcome. Hopefully their race pace is more competitive.

My guess is Mclaren was trying to manage their cost, and seeing how RB is still relatively competitive without building its own engine, they thought they can do it as well. Unfortunately their chassis department is no match for Adrian Newey.

Sebastian gets a win thanks to virtual safety car.

Lewis had good pace you can not overtake in AUZ GP very easily.

Ricardo had a good race.

Haas was poor in out stops and also caused Mercedes a win..

Bottas was very poor in my opinion.

How lucky can he be.. amazing

Botttas need to get how shit together, if he was up there with Lewis they wouldn’t have these issues.

Irritating f#ckin race

Well..I guess this is racing, anything can happen. It was a lucky win, Mercedes are clearly faster but the Ferrari isn't as far behind as people thought they were in pre season testing. The Red Bulls are more competitive than they were at the same stage last year. Once again Alonso drove the crap out of that Mclaren.

Not that lucky. Hamilton lost his cool with the lock up catching up to Vettel. He couldn’t do it. Anything can happen in racing
