Huh? That would be the end of the Mondeo, there's no way they could sell an American family car in significant numbers. They're just too big for this continent...

Do we know anything more definite about its official announcement ?

Some say Geneva, some say Paris.

I was led to believe the facelift would introduce the new 2.0 Petrol Ecoboost Turbo, the PowerShift Gearbox and the 163 PS 2.0 Diesel.

However, I note that the German Market Price List effective from 11th Feb 2010, lists those as now available and did not list 2.3 or 2.5 Petrol, 1.8 or 2.2 Diesel.

Does this mean the new engines are coming 6 months or so before the facelift ?

I hate the Ford Mondeo.

It's not a bad car, it's just massively overrated and overhyped and that's why I hate it so much.

Press Release now out confirming new engines and gearbox for UK Market but so far saying nothing about cosmetic changes.
