food you eat most often...

I generally eat dead plants and animals usually in a formed concoction of complementing recently departed organisms which in the end will please my tastes. Now I know that sounds a bit disturbing, but if you think about it you guys do the same. :D
Enjoy your bag of dead things who have suffered for your own delight! :)

Im I rude if I ask why?

Well there are a couple of reasons!

Firstly being a vegan gives you better health and reduces your chances of getting a heart attack, or other things quite dramatically!

Secondly I don't believe in animal cruelty, I don't know if you have seen some of the pictures, but animals have to live in very bad conditions! I don't think it's fair to them and it's inhumane. Here's a website that may help you know why I think what I think. http://www.viva.org.uk/ I must say it will be hard when I get a car, because I don't want leather, and if a get rich enough, all nice cars come with leather!

Thirdly the food is cheap, which at the moment isn't really a problem but when I leave home it will be useful!

Not to disturb any vegan out here but I think that there isn't anything more beautiful than eating another creature. If a Cayman crocodile ;) will likely eat me then I should feel that guilty about eating a chicken. That's the way nature works, we creature like eating eachother up.

I haven't seen that film!

When you say plants have feelings, that's stupid to me, with an animal you can grow to love it, like a human and it will like you back, than's what I call feelings, not watering a plant, and it stands up and gives you nice flowers!

Luwalira, that's your choice, but I can suvive without eating animals, so why not?

Guys dont take this personal. We all decide what we want to eat or not. Its our humans rights to decide on our own. Some eat meat (including me) some dont so be nice to each others and dont try to convience who is right or not.

I like vegetables (not all of them) but they leave me hungry. :t-hands:

Good for you BMW DUDE, again takes alot of discipline. :usa7uh:

Well, what you do is have your plate pilled high!

It's a bit annoying at times, when the person your eating with has small bits of chicken, and you fell kind of greedy compared to them, even though they probably have more to eat than you in terms of curbs!

Good point! :D

Well my favourite food would have to be mashed potatoes with veggie sausages, greens and veggie gravy!

I am for herb's rights. So I am not going to eat any vegetables because they cant defend themselves. Animals were on an even playing feild in the begginning, they could run faster, hunt better ect ect. Plants never got the opportunity to defend themselves. :D

Unfortunately I may have the worst diet here, other than seafood, Literally I eat nothing else.. eat a couple of veggies and fruits but thats about it :\
No Ahmed, seafood is generally very healthy - I know that oily fish has good acids in it that regulate your hormone and blood sugar levels.

Ha ha, Luw - you and Charles Darwin would have got along well.

BMW_Dude - I know a few vegetarians - correct me if I'm wrong but you don't eat eggs or milk or use anything made with animal products - is that correct.

It's a bit too restrictive for me. I have to be honest though, I'm not a huge fan of meat. I eat beef occasionally, I hardly ever eat ham or pork, and I don't particularly like lamb. I do eat chicken and some seafood - but I do have some food alergies to some seafood as well as a couple of other things - they cause me to have difficulty breathing - a bit like ashma.

LOL :laugh2: Matt, I know that sometimes I don't agree with you, but that's pretty funny :D

I think there are many different levels of vegetarian. Some find it acceptable to eat animal products such as eggs, milk and cheese, food made with lard and even seafood. Then there are others who only eat vegetables, and I think they're called vegan, which is probably a more specific term than vegetarian. That seems to be what BMW_Dude professes to be.

Some vegetarians do it for health reasons, such as not wanting animal fats or thinking eating vegetables will lead to a healthier life. Others have allergies, or simply don't like the taste of meat. Still others do it for ethical reasons, such as prevention of animal cruelty or because they don't wish to take another organism's life.

Personally, I wonder if a person who thinks it's not right to kill and eat animals can believe that a human is just an animal? If you believe that a human is an animal, then isn't it ethically admissible to eat whatever you want? Like Luw's Cayman crocodile example, it's the survival of the most able, and humans certainly know how to kill other organisms well. As for the converse, I don't believe that humans are only animals, but I will happily eat animals.

Furthermore, is it acceptable to eat bacteria? Or don't they count as animals? And, if you don't believe it's right to kill animals, then what about ants, spiders and jellyfish? Is prevention of animal cruelty and killing only for the warm and cuddly? Would you happily kill ants that are invading your house?

No offense, BMW_Dude or any others; I'm just keen to investigate your stance on these matters. I hope it doesn't sound rude. However, I dare say that you have even become accustomed to this sort of questioning over your years of veganism.

---

As for myself, I can eat just about anything, and I consider myself lucky that I don't dislike many foods, nor am I allergic to anything that I can recall. At the moment, I most often eat Chinese style food (ie. what my parents cook at home), but which is really a localised version of it. However, when out I eat many things, but my favourite food styles are Chinese, Japanese and Italian.
