You should always judge a car not for whether it strikes a chord with you personally but for how well it does the job for which it was designed. "Fitness for purpose," it's called. Well, for the four days and three nights the new Aston Martin DB9 Volante was at our disposal, there wasn't a single time--not one--when there wasn't at least one person staring at it.

I love the Aston's. It would be great to have one. Classy car. One of my fav's.

The DB9 is a great looking car, although it's a shame that making it into a convertible, the handling has been ruin, although it's a better cruser due to it's softer suspention!

I love the Astons, very distinguished and sporty at the same time. Very few cars capture this so well.

Just too bad (at least in the States) that they devalue soo much so soon. i.e.: You spend $180K large (including all taxes, etc) and as soon as you drive it off the dealer you lose almost 40-50% of its value! that's a big hit no matter how deep is your pocket! :eusa_doh:
