Dang! I remember watching that TV series as a child...that vehicle was representing a "lemon", continually breaking down when the 'put upon' owner had initially been quite proud of the rare vehicle with the 'exotic' sounding name...

Yes...I was 20 years old and a student at the LMU when that TV series was presented. TV as such wasn't really "my thing", but I do recall having watched a "PS" episode or two. I recall AMuS and Autozeitung having printed articles on the "Amalfi", having a good laugh about it.

Also interesting are bits and pieces of the series I Audi 80/VW Passsat being featured on the Amalfi's front end.

The side mirror placement is so horrible it's to the point they *almost* ruin the entire car for me, design wise. The guy who green lighted that is sick.
