Formula1 2012 season is one of the most exciting season in f1 history, we had 8 different winners, with very entertaining races, teams had ups and down so share ur own awards for the following:

Best driver of the season:
Best team:
Worst driver:
Worst team:
Best overtake:
Most surprising race result:
Best track:
Worst track:
Dirtiest driver:
Funniest moment:
Special mention to (driver or team):
Season rate (0/10):

1) Alonso just ahead of Vettel, their on track performances are equal to each other however Alonso was the better driver off the track.
2) Red Bull, they didn't have the significant speed advantage they used to enjoy at the start of the season but the team worked extraordinarily hard to understand their issue, and resolve them very quickly. They were the clear leaders in the development race.
3) Narain Karthikeyan and de la Rosa, one was never talented enough to make it to F1, the other was way way pass his used by date.
4) Mclaren. Was going to nominate the HRT but Mclaren takes it because they had the quickest car at the start of the season but they gave it all away through a series of uncharacteristic mistakes, and reliability issues. But most of all, how did they manage to lose Lewis to another team?

5) Too many to think of at the moment. I think Webber overtaking Alonso for the lead of the British GP in semi dry condition was pretty special.
6) Maldonado holding it all together to win the Spanish GP
7) Spa
8) Korean GP
9)Grosjean and Maldonado, I wouldn't say they are dirty, they area just extremely reckless, and impatient. Maldonado appeared to have learnt the lesson, still waiting for Grosjean though.
10) Kimi's radio chats.
11) Special mention to Schumacher and Kobayashi. Schumacher proved his critics wrong, he is still very competitive even though he wasn't at his best, for a person at his age and achievement, he really gave it everything in his comeback. Kobayashi because he is the most under rated driver out there. I still think he is better than Prez.
12 Season rate 10/10. It has absolutely everything, huge dramas, epic track battles, off track driver and team rumors. You cannot ask for anymore than the season we have just witnessed.

Best driver of the season: Alonso. Did he ever make a mistake, or anything that in hindsight could have been done better?

Best team: Red Bull

Worst driver: Felipe Massa, seriously?

Worst team: McLaren. They have their points thanks to their drivers, not the team!

Best overtake: Kimi on Schumi at Spa. Genius!

Most surprising race result: Maldonado in Spain!

Best track: Spa, as usual!

Worst track: Valencia, or Singapore, equally crap.

Dirtiest driver: Grosjean. I wouldn't say dirty, as he doesn't do the things he does on purpose, he's more generally reckless. At the moment I can't really think of a driver who is unnecessarily dirty.

Funniest moment: Anything Kimi!

Special mention to (driver or team): Adrian Newey, I still can't fathom how one person can bring so much dominance in this day and age. I just hope that in ten years or so we'll learn some spectacular secret that seperates him from everyone else.

Season rate (8/10): With KERS and DRS it's still a bit too artificial to me. And Pirelli has been a huge let down having taken many race results out of the drivers hands.

Best driver of the season: Alonso followed closely by Hamilton. Alonso has aged abit compared to new talents every year, but he has proven that every year he is stonger, and more experienced. Every year he's up at the top even with a weaker car. And this year showed it best, 0 major mistakes, out performing massa in every condition, and even when he knew it was impossible he still pushed till the end... Hamilton had another bad season, but unlike 2011 he has become much more mature, his on track performance has been over the limit, there's no doubt that if it wasn't for the team, he would've won easily.
Best team: force India, they started the weak but worked hard to out perform lotus at some tracks, and almost winning in brazil.
Worst driver: mark webber, IMO he's not even trying to beat vettel.
Worst team: mercedes, they had a Gp winning car at the start, somehow they got lost with the development.
Best overtake: kimi on schumi at spa, classic kimi
Most surprising race result: Perez in Malaysia
Best track: austin, totally enjoyed watching it.
Worst track: Valencia
Dirtiest driver: grosjean, still can't define any in f1 dirty, but grosjean is close to being dirty, IMO if u can't have a wheel to wheel race and distroy other drivers races is dirty.
Funniest moment: kimi radio in Abu Dhabi lol
Special mention to (driver or team): hulkenberg, in every race he had a good show for us, I think the dude has a bright future, outperforming his team mate. Bad mistake in brazil but still I can't judge him, atleast he was trying.
Season rate (0/10): 9/10

Best driver of the season: Vettel and Alonso, they both made mistakes (Yes Alonso Quali performance on the last races wasn't ideal), Lewis did well and so did Hulk
Best team: RBR, best technical team, best driver, very efficient crew and not doing silly mistake after silly mistake.
Worst driver: Don't really focuses on the bad performances so cannot really respond
Worst team: Mercedes by a f#cking mile. Absolutely disastrous, shameful even.
Best overtake: /
Most surprising race result: Maldonado winning a race
Best track: Spa
Worst track: Abu DHabi, Valencia, Barcelona...
Dirtiest driver: nutcase Grosjean
Funniest moment: Kimi off track exploration at the Brazil GP
Special mention to (driver or team): Hulkenberg, was a bit disspointed by his debut but boy what a second half of a season he had, and the fact that he destroyed Di Resta makes it even more special, giving all the exposure and excessive praise by british journos the scot enjoyed. Pic also delivered and Petrov was not that bad against Kova.
Season rate (0/10): 9/10, would have been 10 if mercedes gave a real f1 car to Michael.

Best driver: A tie between Alonso and Vettel
Best team: RBR
Worst driver: Roman Grosjean is a hazard. A pity-as he is quick.
Worst team: Mercedes-Benz was certainly the most disappointing.
Best overtake: Too many truly good passes to pick a single one.
Most surprising race result: Has to be Pastor Maldonados' race win.
Best track: Spa
Worst track: Barcelona
Dirtiest driver: Grojean the most dangerous. Also not impressed with Bruno Senna.
Funniest moment: Kimi on the radio.
Special mention: Very good performances by Nico Hülkenberg. Watch him in the future. The "other" Nico (Rosberg) was, despite his maiden (and sole) win, rather disappointing. Heavily hyped at first. Now threatened by obscurity.
Season rating: 10/10.

Best driver of the season: Vettel (particularly cause of his dogged performance in last 2 races).
Best team: RB
Worst driver: (Besides Karthikeyan) Webber (Would have been Massa, but he improved a lot in the latter half).
Worst team: (Besides HRT) Mercedes.
Best overtake: Kimi passing Schumacher at Eau de Rogue sticks out, but there were others.
Most surprising race result: Maldanado's pole and win.
Best track: Austin (Besides Spa)
Worst track: Too many.
Dirtiest driver: I wouldn't say any driver is dirty. But I definitely dislike Ferrari's dirty tricks like deliberately breaking the seal on Mass's transmission.
Funniest moment: Kimi on the radio.
Special mention to (driver or team): Kimi - great comeback.
Season rate (0/10): 9/10. (Would have been 10/10, if McLaren did better and was a 3 or 4 way battle for the championship).

Also special mention: Pirelli for making the season interesting.

Dam you guys are really harsh on Webber, despite his two wins this year a few of you still put him down as the worst driver. I would have thought he is at least better than Senna.

^Well, he did have a car that apparently drove itself to a WDC ;).

On a serious note, reason I dinged Webber cause of - his persistent inability to get a good start, not good at passing, very error prone.

At the beginning of the season I was hoping he would win the WDC, so here is to hoping he has a better season next year.

The thing is Webber can drive the car better than Vettel when the car's handling characteristics are unpredictable. He was quicker to adapt to the car with blown diffuser in 2010 and he did the same at the start of this year when RB was struggling to get a consistent level of rear down force. It wasn't until Red Bull have sorted out the rear end aero before Vettel gain the clear advantage. You are right about Webber's absolutely horrible starts, he is the worst starter on the grid. As for his ability to overtake, he does have some very good moves, Spa and Singapore last year for example, but he also makes some very basic mistakes too.

Best driver of the season: Lewis & Alonso tied. Both extracted maximum out of their cars but one was lucky, the other one was not.
Best team: Red bull. Not because they won but because they are smart than everyone else.
Worst driver: Paul Di Resta. The most overrated driver on the grid finally showed his true colours.
Worst team: Mclaren. They had the fastest car but didn't manage to win a single title.
Best overtake: Nico Hulkenberg on Lewis Hamilton and Romain Grosjean.
Most surprising race result: Petrov clinching 10th in the constructors for Caterham.
Best track: Austin GP. Best dry racing in a long time with clean overtakes and close racing.
Worst track: Indian GP. The back straight is too long and too wide and it was a Vettel snooze.
Dirtiest driver: Miachel Schumacher. No one does it as good as him.
Funniest moment: Cowboy Hats at the Austin GP.
Special mention to (driver or team): Lotus. They had a golden driver pairing that will hopefully be better maximized next year.
Season rate (6/10): It was a promising season with a tight battle fight but Merc were never up there, Mclaren screwed up, Lotus was disadvantaged and so was Alonso. From Malysia it was clear that the title was Vettel's to lose.

Agree with everything (y)

Dirtiest driver: Miachel Schumacher. No one does it as good as him.
I've always thought Michael was dirty (ever since his Ferrari days), in 2011 he made barrichello run into the wall in Hungary, he distroyed alonsos lap in austin, and the dirty way he blocked button at the start/finish straight. Yet he lets his countryman vettel easily by in brazil.

He didn't destroy anything in Austin. None of them were on quali laps. Someone who's dirty would never race with raikkonen the way he raced him in Interlagos. Thing is he come from another era where the definition of acceptable was much broader.

thing is raikkonen can race anyone wheel to wheel, and that pass i think was on turn one with raikkonen on the outside, michael did try pushing raikonen outside, if u watch the pass again ull notice that schumacher didnt take the racing line.

Because Schumacher is allowed to defend his position? Vettel pushed Kobo out of the track too during that race.
