Take this one with a grain of salt, but it looks like Audi's new car launch schedule has been leaked. It's a photo of a Xerox copy, so it's not exactly official, but it suggests all the most exciting new models that we've seen testing will debut between now and August. What's more, some crazy things are planned for 2018.

The A3 facelift isn't mentioned anywhere on this draft, so it's likely going to show up in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The A5 and S5 coupe models will be joining it as well. These all-new 2-door models are based on the same architecture as the A4 sedan and will be accompanied by the Sportback and Cabriolet models in May and July, respectively.

All the S5 models should come with the same 3-liter engine as the S4. Audi has given up on the supercharger system and replaced it with a single turbocharger. These rivals for the Mercedes C 450 AMG/ C43 AMG will pack around 350 horsepower, which isn't much by today's standards.

April will also host the launch of the TT RS Coupe, a model that we know will also be sold in America. It will be joined by the RS3 sedan we've all been talking about in August. Both may have as much as 400 horsepower from the famous 2.5-liter turbo engine and manual gearbox options.

Want an Audi version of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder? No problem, as the R8 Spyder will debut in April and is likely to become the most expensive Audi ever made. As far as the mass-market appeal is concerned, you can't outclass the new Q5, which will come out together with the SQ5. It will be interesting to see if Audi has kept the twin-turbo 3-liter TDI that it sells to European consumers.

Not big or powerful enough? How about waiting for the SQ7 performance SUV that will debut in July. We believe it will be the first model to sport the all-new V8 TDI engine that will eventually be used by Porsche's Cayenne, Panamera and the next A8.

Speaking of which, a heap of other cool cars are scheduled for 2018. The RS5 coupe is first on the list, somehow coming out ahead of the RS4. The A6, A7 and A8 will debut at roughly the same time, boasting similar technology and design. The downsized R8 with a V6 engine (likely the same as in the RS4/RS5) will also come out in two years, hopefully with some cosmetic improvements.

If that is true, Audi is just like I've always said, slow.

Why the calendar jumps to 2018 directly?how about the chance that those monthes belong to 2017 rather than 2016 model year.

The calendar doesn't jump to 2018 directly. Who has taken this photo, has wanted to show only from April 2017 until 2018.

Not a chance. All of those cars are due THIS year. The Q7 e-tron has already been tested by journalists for example and goes on sale this spring.

I would suggest this is an American launch schedule.

What journalists have tested the Q7 e-tron? Only those that Audi has wanted, not all journalists around the world.

Maybe... But you won't see the new Audi A6 and A7, for example, in 2017. A8 yes.

I think the new A5 range is needed this year.

Until it actually is available to the public, then of course the journalists are going to be those that Audi wanted. Isn't that the case with any car launch?

A quick Google brings up the following results. The press drives took place a few months ago in December 2015.

The point is, the Q7 e-tron goes on sale in a few months, NOT, October 2017, which is what your assertion is. That timeline is for 2016.

Maybe... But you won't see the new Audi A6 and A7, for example, in 2017. A8 yes.

I never said you would. The chart clearly shows the A6, A7 and A8 coming in 2018.

I think this is the US launch dates as the Audi RS3 saloon (US only) has already been leaked this week in another thread. But all those other models should be launched internationally this year.

This image, that a lot of mags have edited, is for Canadian market. I've the original document, not one copy, from the strategy of new models from Audi until 2020, and divided by months and other document with all EOP and SOP for the next models, and I can tell you, in Europe, we won't see next Audi A6 and A7 in 2017.

New Audi A8, new A7 and new A6. We've seen mules from the new A8 and A7, but nothing from A6.

And, with regards to the Q7 e-tron, it is going on sale next week in Europe.

This was posted yesterday by @Giannis in the Q7 thread.

Audi Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro available from beginning of March for order

  • First plug-in hybrid model from the Audi Q family for the European market

  • Sporty and convenient with maximum efficiency

Customers in Europe can order the Audi Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro* from the beginning of March. Deliveries of the new model will commence in summer 2016. In purely electric mode, the plug-in hybrid SUV achieves a range of up to 56 kilometers (34.8 mi) in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), making local journeys emission-free.

The Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro is the first plug-in hybrid in the world to feature a V6 TDI and quattro drive. The SUV sets standards thanks to 275 kW (373 hp) of system power and 700 Nm (516.3 lb‑ft) of system torque. It accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 6.2 seconds and consumes only 1.8 liters (130.7 US mpg) of diesel in accordance with NEDC. Its lithium-ion battery can be charged from the socket and stores 17.3 kWh. With its electric range of up to 56 kilometers (34.8 mi), the SUV covers large areas of everyday mobility.

The starting price in Germany is 80,500 euros. Popular optional equipment for the basic model worth around 7,000 euros is already included on the Q7 e-tron quattro as standard in Germany. LED headlights, MMI navigation plus with MMI all‑in‑touch and the Audi virtual cockpit are among the features included. The high-resolution TFT screen provides pin-sharp displays and graphics, including special views such as the power meter, the energy flow of the plug-in hybrid system, the range and the state of charge of the high-voltage battery.

In Germany, the standard items also include a charging cable for public charging stations and a charging cable that not only features power connections for domestic and industrial sockets, but also contains a graphic display. Thanks to the new two‑phase charging technology, full charging from an industrial socket with an output of 7.2 kW only takes around two and a half hours. That is an outstanding figure for this class.

The standard thermal management system with integrated heat pump has been specially developed for the plug-in hybrids of the Q7 family. Audi is the first manufacturer in the world to market this technology. This represents another benchmark achieved by the brand in terms of electric range, interior comfort and climate control efficiency.

The Audi connect module links the Q7 e-tron quattro to the Internet via the high-speed LTE standard. A new standard feature is the “Audi connect safety& service”. With the Audi connect e-tron services and the Audi MMI connect app, a smartphone can be used to remotely control the charging process and interior climate control, and to access data relating to previous journeys.

Fuel consumption of the models named above:

Audi Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro:
Combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 1.9 – 1.8 (123.8 – 130.7 US mpg)**;
Combined electrical consumption in kWh/100 km: 19.0 – 18.1**;
Combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 50 – 48 (80.5 – 77.2 g/mi)**

**Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions data as well as the efficiency classes are dependent on the choice of wheels and tyres.

VWs' "Dieselgate" and a necessary extended development time period for autonomous driving configurations have apparently led to deferred product introductions at Audi. Most notably with regard to the A6, A7 and A8 successors.

But Audi usually takes it's time with the RS models, like BMW with M, and the new A4 has just been launched...

The first spy shots were taken around late September early October of last year if I recall correctly, normally you would see a debut a year later. If this is a US model projected time frame, then is could mean the rs4 will be released later on in its life cycle as a sedan, following in the foot steps of the Rs3. Could explain why it's not on the chart all together as well.

I've read perfecly your posts. I explained you, as one clarification and talking from Europe, that we won't see A6 and A7 in 2017. Of course, well see these two models in 2018, but not new A8. In Europe, we'll see in 2017. Nothing more, only one clarification.

In your post #7, you has written this "I would suggest this is an American launch schedule." And in my post ([HASHTAG]#13[/HASHTAG]), I have told you this image is for Canadian Market.

I know when Audi Q7 e-tron is going to begin to sell. In Europe, from the ninth week of 2016, last week from February and first from March. Customers can order the car, but won't arrive until summer. Good.

You've talked about the press drives, last december... Telegraph.co.uk and Autoexpress (pocket-lint No) have used press photos. And if you have read the articles, the Autoexpress's editor doesn't talk about the dynamic driving. The Telegraph's editor writes six lines about this. They have used the press photos and the press text for do one "test".

Really, do you know how works one world test premiere? Have you been in any one? They cannot do a true test in only one day or, in some hours, specially because in one world test premiere, it uses to see 400 persons, each day.

I think the new A5 range is needed this year.

And if that chart is correct then the A5 Coupe is coming next month and the A5 Sportback in May.

In Europe, A5 Mk II Coupe (and S5) will begin to sell the week no. 36 from this year 2016. This means, from 18 September 2016. And confirmed.

I really have no idea what you're wittering on about.

Get it straight, this chart is market launch schedule for US market, not release schedule.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
