A7/S7/RS7 EVO. Driven Audi S7

There's nothing to compare the S7 with, directly. An Aston Martin Rapide is a much more expensive interpratation of a similar idea, a Jaguar XFR is also dearer but more powerful, thirstier and lacking a hatchback. In those terms the S7 seems good value at £61,995 although that's £8000 more than a mechanically identical S6 saloon. As a high-speed five-door, but with just four seats, the S7 does a very good job. But you'll have a much more engaging time in an XFR.

Because the XFR is EVO's favourite sports Saloon at the moment, and it's roughly the same price area. YOU are the one who sees it as a British journalist favouring a British car, which it isn't even as Jaguar is owned by Indians. Good grief!

The X5 is built in the U.S. Does that make it an American car?

Come on man! Comments like that is just childish. If I find another S7 review I post it for you.
EVO is all about sports and if it aint sporty it doesnt get full pott. 5-series is also only rated 3 stars by EVO.

A pretty disappointing review of the S7 - these bad S/RS reviews just seem to keep coming regularly like clockwork.

Seems that Audi were undecided as to how they wanted the S6/7 to drive because of its luxury/executive status. If they had made a bigger S4 it might not have appealed to the guy that usually buys a car in this class but that seems to have signed its death warrant for the motoring press.

This being said I wouldn't have expected anything better from EVO so will wait and sample it myself before saying Audi got it all wrong.

They compare the XFR which has nothing to do for S7 ... And with almost 100 hp more it did 100 km/h as fast as the S6... quality workmanship and equipment not to mention. One word, EVO sucks...

The S7 at best competes with the Panamera GTS. Audi has to make money too.
