Put it this way, if the A-Class wasn't the highest selling launch from M-B, ever, there would be some major problems. That's not to discount its importance, but it's simple economics and evolution.

Seriously. And the previous A looked like a Van, so no wonder this new one sells much better..

In many countries the new A-Class is not yet available. E.g. UK starts in December, and China next summer.
A few new Bs just started to arrive in China.
