e-tron Efficiency is the goal: New Audi e-tron prototype at the E-Cannonball

The Audi e-tron is a series of electric and hybrid cars shown by Audi from 2009 onwards. In 2012 Audi unveiled a plug-in hybrid version, the A3 Sportback e-tron, released to retail customers in Europe in August 2014, and slated for the U.S. in 2015. A decade after the unveiling of the first e-tron concept at the 2009 International Motor Show Germany, Audi's first fully electric e-tron SUV went into production in 2019.
Electric cars in the spotlight: the Audi e-tron* is a true pioneer of e-mobility. Now a new challenger will be on the starting grid of the E-Cannonball in Hamburg which is getting under way on September 23, and is looking forward to meeting electric car enthusiasts and their vehicles at Germany's biggest electric rally. As a prototype, it will be wearing a specially designed camouflage, because it is still keeping some of its secrets to itself.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
