Well done Volkswagen for making a diesel car that can be in U.S states. Americans will finally see the advantage of a good tax-busting diesel car.
Mind you, 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 Mph, is not bad at all. Specially, when you remember the first Jetta MkV Edmunds tested in 2005, took 9.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 Mph and it was the petrol powered Jetta 2.5 with 150 Hp mated to the Tiptronic gearbox. A diesel, which is faster than a petrol and obviously is more economical; Probably even quieter, certainly more friendly to the enviroment and more reliable, perhaps?
