The problem with Infiniti the car doesnt Look good, nor exterior or interior. Besides, those who driven a 5-series know its not a boring car to drive. So yeah, I rather own the car with a better total package and a car thats looks good than a ugly car that is slightly sportier.

Yes I have become older and wiser. So my view on cars might have changed through the years.

Here are some photo's from a comparison between the Infiniti and an E-Class. IMO, the E does a great job of showing how, although curvaceous and luscious in some respects, the M56 looks very portly and porky. It shows to me also, how much more timeless a well done, sleek and classic 3-Box Sedan shape will always be.

Notice how in some of these pics, the Infiniti literally looks like an SUV/Crossover, next to the E. I hate when Sedans have that effect.

I FULLY agree and may I ad that your choice of words is a good description IMO.
:t-cheers:

So why did you vote for all those Bangleized cars in past polls all these years??

I never said they were ugly except for X3 and 7-series. And again, I have become older, my view on cars change after all the years I had intrests in cars. I can't help you are in the same thinking you were years ago that Benz is superior to everything. Your attack on me just failed Bum-man.

:D LOL I think Andreas is becoming old. I should've realized the obsession with comfortable seats was a first symptom...

Forgive me Mr. Serious.
And yes I can see your tastes have changed...to the wind that BMW blows. ;)

I am indeed. Sometimes I wish I didnt add M-package on my babybimmer (but only sometimes ;)). They say the new Golf GTI is comfy but still very sporty :usa7uh:

I didnt see a smiley so of course I reacted the way I did. And yes, I think BMW has the best line-up among the trio. Only bimmers I dont find attractive are 5GT and new X3, other than that, just :icondrool

Maybe you should use something like this under that sensitive bottom of yours. :D

OK, enough with the off-topic. I'd choose the 550i with the manual. :t-drive:

I just casted my vote today. As a German car fan I voted for the BMW 550i. I can agree with the journalists that it`s simply a better all around package simply because BMW has more experence in this field.

The journalists should have opted for the sports (appearence) package for the 550i, which would have put the icing on the cake.

On the negative side of the 550i, the steering as the editors noted is a little vague and it`s 1.2mph slower in the slalm (0.84g vs. 0.89 ) and of course it`s too fat (with the xDrive option some of the dynamics will drop as the weight might increase to 4400lbs.)

It`s a BMW though, well engineered, safe, handsome and should be as reliable as the Infiniti. If I were to buy a 550i I`d opt for the xDrive version btw. We get too much snow where I live.
