Vs DriveTribe: M3 CP vs C63S vs Quadrifoglio 0 - 150 mph

AMG most likely designed the turbos that way.
The GT is sportier so it should be a little louder.

Really, how are turbos designed different?

Engine specifications and tuning are exactly the same, whether it's the C63/GT with 469bhp/465lb torque or the C63S/GTS with 515hp/494lb torque. Both engine options recieved a slight bump in power for MY2018.

My point was complaints of the C63's lacklustre exhaust note are justfied as AMG restricted the exhaust note considerably compared to the GTS, and even the new E63.

The C63 is a hoonigan. You gotta love how AMG sticks to their guns and turns out muscle and precision in equal measure. I'd never say no to one.

That being said, if it was my money - the M3 CP appears to have the broadest set of mechanical and dynamic attributes. It would be the one for me.

I was just talking about engine noise, that is where the C63 S V8 engine sounds better than the other 2 cars six cylinder engines. In terms of performance it's pretty close between all 3 cars. It would be interesting to see which is quicker in a rolling run from 50kmh to 250kmh.

Just don't why someone would order a CP but opt For the standard wheels the CP wheels man such a huge difference in looks. They are beautiful .

Realize AMG tuned these cars differently.
The C63 and particularly the E63 have more of a rumble on open throttle. Both the GT and C63 share a V8 rumble in the backround. The E63 is rather quiet.
The E and C63 are sedans are tuned as excutive cars. The GT is tuned as a sports car. Turbo configurations as @martinbo graciously put it. AMG has gotton really good at this. The E63 sounds deeper than the C63 or GT.

No denying, shame you have to spend an x amount of more dollars to get what the should have come on the normal M3. I guess one could say that for C63 as well.

Why make the statement at all when you're going to self-contradict.
Moreover, a base M3 CP + M-DCT + Carbon Ceramics price in the US is $ 69700 + $2900 + $8150 = $80750
Base price of a C63S being $73795 + Carbon Ceramics @ $5450 = $80435 [you don't get a transmission choice in the AMG]
So, if its my money I'd be quite ok with getting a CP plus a proper dual-clutcher and carbon ceramics for $ 315 more than the Merc. I don't think M3 buyers are being short-changed in any way.

What exactly are you saying about turbo configurations in relation to what I've said about them previously?

Optional equipment and extas was not my point.
My point about was about whats under the skin.
The standard M3 doesn't have the handling/ dynamic magic it once had and has been out paced by others in this class. You have to step it up to the M3 CP to get the goods dialed in and even that one is not as outstanding in all areas according some journalists. Even in this review, it was not chosen to have the most communicative sweet-spot and the one the reviewer would take home.

^Nice, are you training to be a politician? You keep ignoring the parts where people call your BS out and then spew more BS to cover your previous BS.

You first claimed between the C63S and GTS, AMG "designed the turbos" differently and then claimed "Turbo configurations" are different. So simple question - how are the turbos difference between the AMG C63S and AMG GTS? Feel free to admit you have no clue and was just trying to sound knowledgeable.
