I like it, except not 100% sold on the front.

Anyone else getting Laguna Coupe vibes from the rear?

was thinking the same thing, in fact I googled laguna coupe for the appropriate photo to make a comparison and quite a few s coupes popped up lol
and its not just from the rear, its the front thats similar too. well, when I say the front what I actually mean is how much of the car is 'on the front axle', that is, front axle is shoved so much back it really is disturbingly similar to the laguna.

There's no way you can say the front axle location is similar in both cars..... The Laguna looks clearly like a FWD car, and the Mercedes like a RWD.

I really, REALLY don't think anyone will confuse the cars in real life. Other than the stoplights and the window profile (they're both coupes after all) there's little else in common. And even in worse case the Laguna is very rare and very beautiful, in it's own right. Perhaps the nicest non premium coupe since Peugeot 406 Coupe.

benz's got ten feet bonnet, its obvious axle locations cant be the same, they couldnt shove it all the way back even if they wanted to. on the little laguna however thats a must.
and I dont know about you but when I see front wheels of 5 meter car closer to the door than to the number plate, coupled with look a like back, I got enough reasons to call it similar to laguna.

because it actually is. for every man gifted with sight and not plagued with fanboyizm that is
lol

well, I dont know how to brake it to you gently so Ill just say it - sausage and man tool are clearly similar in a way but I dont think anyone ever went to fridge to do number one

there IS a similarity. get over it.

no one said it wasnt

@di caprio, cheerleaders and wannabe eye doctor - why is it so hard to accept obvious?
dont hate me fellas, it wasnt me who made it look like a renault

Ok its time you get some DL's.. enjoy :D

^what is there to discuss? you think it looks like a laguna.. we have noted this.. we disagree with you..not only Mercedes fans, as the car has overwhelmingly positive reactions both on this forum and around the net on other forums.

Now Mercedes won't scrap the car cause you and a few other think it looks like a laguna..so its here to stay.

We have noted your views of it.. what do you want to accomplish further?

Other than raking up dislikes? :D

PS
Please do not talk contribution with me.. haha!

now you see thats better. glad I have positive influence on you
so you say it doesnt look like laguna at all?

Yes, Baron, you're right! Not only the Coupe looks like Laguna (in the rear-like FC123 said, and the front-like you said), but it has same steering wheel (round), and same wheels (also round). Shame on you, Mercedes-Benz!

Yes, Baron, you're right

aint hard to be about this. all I had to do is look. why you fellas make fools out of yourselves Im not sure.
and to be honest I dont care cause Ive just noticed that the post with the laguna on the first page that I quoted got ton of disses an olds etc while clearly the guy was right
thats just a bit too much collective pathology for my liking and I regret coming back to this discussion.

Styling is a very subjective thing so some will agree and other will disagree with you. You have made your point so it is best to move on, also you can do with out the condescending tone.

Come on Baron...the car is clearly different:
tailgate, bumper, fender, exhaust system, rear window, how he had chopped off the lamp compartment within the tailgate, the shape of the merged spoiler, chrome strip etc.etc.

What a ridiculous, stupid, uneducated post. I'ts not about the "ten feet bonnet" but the axle location has to do with packaging, drivetrain configuration and weight distribution.
Please educate yourself before making a clown of you and insult everyone's intelligence.

How can you say the axle location is similar on this two cars is beyond me:
