Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

Now where that Brabus rocket to make it bite the dust ?! :D

Honestly what about brakes, suspensions, aeropackage ?!

whoa there, not so fast gentleman. I have been reading about this Car extensively on the M5board and there is an extremely long thread about the so-called 'Currency motors' and the people behind it. There have been several bad experiences with the owners of the above mentioned and apparently they have been having several problems with the TT M5. One of the directors of the company goes by the name "Osh" and is rumoured to have duped several ppl on the M5 board and messing up their cars furthermore rather then modifying them. His previous company goes by the name RMS motorsport. Just do a search on the M5board for "RMS" and you will see what i mean. There are countless threas explaining bad experiences encountered wit the 'Osh" character and his company. I however have no idea about how true the stories are as i have no personal experience whatsoever.....

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

That interior is absolutely disgusting.

Give me the original M5 over this thing, at any day.

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

the best part is that of the 350K price tag, 100K is for pimping the interior....

100K!!? ***?

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

The steering wheel alone makes me puke. Another example that you can spend 350K on absolute rubbish.

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

I really dont like the interior, poor crocs :( too crocodile dundee for my liking. I would much prefer the OEM M5 interior.........

Excellent car with an excellent motor, BUT the modifications seems second rate. Definately not worth the asking price.

Compare Currency Motors mods to that of Australias own Street Tuna of LS1turbo fame (a much smaller operation with a far cheaper TT kit).

Currency Motors

Street Tuna's GenTTR kit

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

BTW the engine pic I used was from a daily driven TT Holden VE. The GenTT costs around $7k here in australia and around $4-5k shipped to the US. The main benifit with this kit is that it cmplies with Australia's emission and sound etc rules as well as Californian rules. The car below has already achieved (???) a 10.5sec quarter mile pass with stock internals.

Again why is Currency Motor's TT kit for the BMW so expensive? I smell a con!!!!

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

Hello everyone,

I am the Public Relations director for Currency Motor Cars. After I found some nasty rumors on the net about CMC (or rather, another person and/or company with a similar name), I thought it would be a pain in the neck to sniff out and squash all this tittle-tattle. On the contrary, I find all your posts refreshing and inspired. Please, keep them coming. We encourage discussion and debate. The CMC turbocharged M5 is creating quite a stir all around the globe...and for good reason!

However, let me make this perfectly clear. Currency Motor Cars is NOT "Currency Motors"...we know no one by the name of "Osh", we don't know anything about "RMS Sport" nor has the company ever taken money without complete satisfaction of the customer. If you can point me to where you read this erroneous info, I would greatly appreciate it.

Please visit the Currency Motor Cars site and read about the car, it's founders and services. (www.currencymotorcars.com)

Thank you for your great comments and discussions. Feel free to contact me directly for futher claification on this matter. All the best...cheers!

Re: Motors’ 800HP Twin-Turbo M5 E60

How do does Currency Motor Cars justify the cost of this car?. Twin Turbo's, 20' wheels and a revamped interior don't add up to over 300k.

Re: Motors’ 800HP Twin-Turbo M5 E60

Evil got no limits, 800 mad horses to be unleashed by a single foot, rims are definitely a step-back on this beauty :eusa_doh:...!

Turbo setup is interesting, popping the hood is not enough to discover the mystery, you gotta make the pants dirty :D ...!

Re: 810bhp BMW V10 M5 by Currency Motor Cars

enough said i suppose lol.
@monarocountry the reason it's more expensive is because its a full overhaul of an M5 mate. A monaro is a vauxhall and you cannot compare the finish of the interior of both cars never mind the engines

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
