Okay so there exists a lot of controversy over the ZR1 and if it is worth the extra money of the magnificent ZO6 introduced in 06.

To my acknowledgment it seems that the ZR1 is not receiving the same amount of hype as the ZO6 launched 3 years back.

So in your opinion is the ZR1 worth the extra rip off money (you can already see my opinion) over the ZO6?

In my opinion, yes. Why? Because the ZR1 is a collectors' item. This is last of a generation and who knows when a car like this will be made again by GM, or any American company considering the future of Viper is in doubt too. Most importantly, this car isn't just about the numbers on paper, it's about how it makes you feel when you drive it. As much as people on this board, and many others, bitch about "too many electronic nannies", etc, this car is pure driving pleasure. Everyone from Jay Leno to Jezza have talked about how fun this car is to drive. If people think that the extra cash for GT2 is worth it, then why not this car? This is one of those cars that when you start driving, you don't give a sh!t about anything else anymore and you TRULY feel connected to the road and in the moment. The Z06 is great, but this is even better.

Yeah, but the ZR1 does it better. Like the 911S is a great car, but the GT3 is better. Same with this.
