CLA and new S-Class are giving problems for Mercedes. Not surprised reading about all the little bugs in the S and the problems with the CLA in the owner forums.

What are the problems. Electronics, mechanical or poor interior fitting?

Just going by MB World forums, on the S it seems to thins like windshields bubbling up. On the CLA it is interior rattles, loose exterior door trim and the like. Things Mercedes should not be having trouble with.

That's just embarrassing. At least its not mechanical issues.

I have 3,500 miles on my CLA. I have had no mechanical issues at all. BUT, a week into ownership my doors were rattling. Got two fixed by placing felt in between panel and door. Got a 250 dollar gift card from my dealer for my trouble at Ruth Kris.

BUT now, I am getting a rattle in the roof and my Panorama roof makes ticking rubbing sounds over uneven surfaces and there seems to be a buzzing coming from the driver B-Pillar. I haven't taken it in yet, only because I don't feel like it. They are annoying though and for the time being I just raise the volume on my radio.

This list further highlights the problem areas. Audio system for CLA and windows in the S class? MB you can do better. What a pity that MB brand is experiencing squeaks and rattles. I thought that the early 2000 quality glitches are thing of the past.

For once Consumer Reports is right on the money. These are the exact same things real owners are complaining about with these models. S-Class windshields or back glass bubbling up and/or having waves in them, easily fixed. Not sure about the suspension. Seems to be massive confusion about Magic Body Control and how it works. People really expect it to snuff out every bump in the road and that just isn't possible yet.

With the CLA the interior problems are well known. I would bet that is why the 2015 model hasn't been released yet and won't be until December. Mercedes is going to fix this problem. Not sure what the audio system problem is.

I HATE to say it, but CR is 100% correct here.
