Odd car. In this particular video, it really does not look all too bad at all:

It looks good in this video. Perhaps Mercedes is applying the camo in different ways?

It looks a lot better in this video that previous mules with their heavy cladding. I like the sleek aero look of the EQS, but it will all be in the little details. Judging by the S-class which has proved to be a lot nicer in official pics that the covered up earlier test prototypes, I hope that Mercedes will wave its magic wand also on the EQS. Forget about the S-class this is probably even more of an important car they have to get right first time.

Taillight graphics remind me of the EQA concept, if they do this it will be way nicer than the current S rear.

I ask: "Will the production EQS´ exterior design be even remotely similar to that of the concept car ?". From the A-pillar back, the Vision EQS is simply grand. My sole personal gripe pertains to the very short bonnet.

As for this particular video: Excuse me, but does this leave an aftertaste of ingratiating pandering to a demographic that could probably be no further from the intended target ? The elegant Denzel Washington or Halle Berry would have been far more suitable methinks. Or just keep Lewis Hamilton as the most credible, most frequently presented EQS advertising spokesperson.

  • Agree
Reactions: Ozy
Men always have problem with short bonnets, Jimmy. It derives from the primordial part of a male brain that assumes that the bonnet is an extension of their Dick. But trust me, the Batmobile has a 3 meters long, 2.5 meters wide bonnet and I already walk with three legs. Parking is a hassle and it's always awkward whenever I run into Aquaman and Mera in the pool. Fish got no bonnet

The EQS, you'll love driving and parking it

Quite true.

What impresses me so far is the interaction between the wheelarches and the flank area below the sideglass sills. Very sporting and enhancing stance, especially in tandem with well-filling, pushed out to the arch-lip wheels.

My problems (so far) with the EQS mules lie above the sideglass sills. But as you've mentioned. perhaps the seemingly slightest details can make what now appears awkward and bulbous highly attractive. One thing is for sure: Following the progress in the developement of this car is most certainly not boring.

The thing is this video would have been done and dusted before the latest furore with Hamilton.
Ask Daimler's stock holders and investors on how they enjoy that.
