Perhaps it's simply the angle of the camera...but...that car looks rather odd. A bit like an R-Class/Prius love child.

It's definitely not conventionally shaped. That's kind of the whole point...trying to shake that "Tesla is the only one with an imagination" mindset that many have adopted.

i had the opportunity to see the prototype last month during a factory tour at Sindelfingen .i saw it from inside the coach that took us for a ride inside the factory,
and i can tell you that it is a large sedan and very wide. I would say a normal s class size more or less

even with a lot of camouflage you can appreciate the sleek and low hood ,coupe style side and short rear, and very very short overhangs
I was not close enough to see more details but i like the overall design, quite similar to the concept.
I hope they will not be very different.

Very seriously doubt it. The very overhangs and bubble roof line on this car don't communicate the size very well in these videos. The "S" nomenclature will refer more to the interior space on hand vs. exterior size, but regardless this isn't a small vehicle.

When a camouflage is well done as in this case, (especially in the 3/4 back) it is impossible to have a minimum certainty, then they present the concept and in minutes you have several camouflagers pulling their hair

The EQS concept has a length around 5.30 metres. That is even longer than the LWB V222 S-Class btw.

It's design certainly disguises it's size remarkably.
