EQS (V297) [Concept] World Premiere - Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Production: May 2021- Model years: 2022–
Can't wait to see what makes it into the production model. Glad to see a clean sheet design making its way to our streets.

Hopefully, the proportions, silhouette, rims, side-glass graphics and dimensions are replicated one-to-one. A more conventional EQ-style front facia and an EQ-style full width taillamp band would be quite acceptable methinks. And maybe a wee bit more crumple-zone length, front and back, would be tolerable as well. But otherwise, don't change a thing.

Lol you have the nerve to post here with that beaver faced bitch bmw released.. wow

At least it doesn't look like a metal battery-powered dildo on wheels.
So slick & bendy it just slips ... into oblivion of design forgetfulness. :D

Even real bananas have some edges!!!! :p

I'm really not into current MB's "design aesthetics" ... too slick & rounded. It reminds me of eel! :D :D :D

There was a time Mercedes made edgy cars w212 era then you guys liked round flame surfaced cars, and talked about many lines being a sign of weak design. Now it’s opposite and you like the sharper shapes.. and sure as shit if it changes again you will start loving soft shapes..

It’s fun being a bmw fan right ?

Great proportions lol

Seriously guys. What do u like about this concept. It looks like a banana with wheels. As for the interior, its so futuristic that there is nothing to discuss about it. Yeah, we know that huge screen will go intro the production. That's about it.

It probably has to do with aerodynamics and this being an electric car, efficiency.

I like it. It looks good in person. I am intrigued to see how it translates into production.

Well, I really like it. Fantastic lines/proportions. A modern day grown up CLS (mrk 1)

Can someone explain to me why this hasn't got it's own new dedicated thread?

Sorry for the off topic post.

I can't cut this thread up from the point where the concept became official. I would if I could.

Can you help @Monster

Its definitely one of the nicer looking cars shown so far at IAA.

One thing has me baffled is why Mercedes showed pics of the interior before the show with wood and flowing screens when the show car interior is all white and with a different shaped steering wheel also?

Look at this shot of the interior, but also the cars lines look so sleek and elegant in this pic.

the front and rear with the Mercedes 3 pointed star shaped LED's looks spectacular. I like the deep blue colour of the interior lighting.

So sleek, sexy and curvaceous in this shot.

Should the production model not stray far from the concept, we may be seeing a car that could join the ranks of the original Citröen ID/DS of 1955, Renault 16 of 1965, NSU Ro80 of 1967 and BMC Maxi of 1969 in terms of groundbreaking, revolutionary automotive packaging and design.

I'd really love to see just what lies under the cladding and swirly foil of those recently spotted production-bodied EQS mules.

I actually like the covered up mule. I don't care much about the concept and its details.. too much glass that can break.

But from the mule, one can already see the production car beneath it would have ultra short front overhang, slim glasshouse, frameless windows, long rear overhang, long wheelbase and roomy interior (relative to its size. SWB S-class interior in a CLS size body). What's not to like ?

Look at EQC, what new thing does it bring with in terms of space utilization? Nothing

I volunteered using the application form on the site. I never got a response. Even if it was to say "there's no way you're becoming a mod" (understandable).

As more information begins to trickle through, I've read that the EQS Concept measures some 5300mm in length (Bentley Flying Spur length). In earlier articles published in the automotive press, it was indicated that the production EQS would measure "somewhere in between" the E and S Class sedans (as @TheNewBATMAN stated previously: "CLS size body") in length, considerably less in height as well as significantly more in width. The concept also sports 24" rims.

This leads me to suspect that the concept is designed to do no more than vaguely hint at some of the production cars' design elements albeit in an unspecific, highly stylized manner. Hopes of an at least 75% replication are probably unwarranted. And thus, this will leave us guessing just what lies beneath the camocladding of the production-bodied mules.

@Jimmy I doubt we will even get 40 to 50 percent of the concept that's just my opinion from the looks of concept and the spy shots..

I guess maybe this concept is more to do with what we may see in another 8 or 10 years from now .
